Serum

Is that mount going to work with both the 2200kv Tork and then the Neu-Castles?

Tried the FLM mount, will post some pics, but it raises the engine up too high and the pinion won't fit. Would have to cut the top bar off in order for it to work.

ooooweee that is a sexy mount... is your mate still producing these??? There should be more aftermarket mounts for the flux

Very nice motor mount..

Here some more motor mounts on this German site..

knez, had a look at the site, and i really have to say that those motor mounts look pretty rubbish. Indeed they look kl but the method i think they use for strapping them to the mount is pretty unreliable... I dont think i would want to risk it, unless some one has had great experience with these... would you need one this large for a neu 1518?

Same diameter as the 1515 so I'd guess so.

I know it looks kinda crappy, but those jubile style clamps are very strong, you'd have trouble twisting the motor around once its clamped in place I reckon.

Jahay 04.08.2010 02:53 PM

i dont think i would feel comfortable knowing that just some jubilee clips are holding my motor in place

Knez 04.08.2010 03:16 PM

Never sad those clamps are state of the art, just wanted to let u all know that some more clamps are avalible on that German site.

Jahay 04.08.2010 03:41 PM

i think these pictured below are probably the best on the site. But i am worried that the 42mm diameter of the 1518 is not going to be able to fit....

what do you think...?

Translated with the help of google...

The engine mount is suitable for motors with a diameter of 36.0 to 36.5 mm and a length of 50 mm - 80 mm. (Eg Medusa Research MR3650, MR3660, MR3670, MR3680, Feigao S, L, XL, New 14xx, Mega EDF Fine Case and ACn/22/xx Mega, Kontronik Kira 600 Kira 650, Lehner 1930, 1940, 1950. ..)

So no it won't work with a 42mm motor.

Jahay, i agree they look like great mounts. They would be pretty much perfect for my current build if they were available in a 40/42mm combo for a Tekin T8 motor.

If anyone can make these please pm me, i'm happy to pay.

Hello Savage owners, I just picked up a Flux roller. I was originally planning on doing the TCS Crawlers 5T conversion, but have decided not to now. The motor I have is the Castle/NEU 1520, am planning on running it on 6s. The problem I'm having is the stock motor mounts won't work with this motor plus the motor is too long to fit the cutout in the tvp.

What are my options for a motor mount? The FLM tranny forward kit looks great and that custom Plett mount is a work of art. Are there any other options?

Thanks.

FG... i have the same motor... I used my original motors by using a dremel to grind down just the right amount to fit them... If you dont want to do this... GCM http://www.gcmachine.ca/index.php/rcstuff/rbbuild can mill one out and sent it to you....

Regarding the tvps, you may have to do some mods to it yourself... But its not too hard. I had to take a section out of my TVPs to fit mine too...

Jahay, je link you send is for the 1/10 E-Savage, not the Savage Flux.

FG101C, congrats on the buy. If you want it to be XL you can buy the FLM kit (which would need some cuts for the motor I think) or the Desertboy17 conversion (no idea if the 1520 fits there without mods). Ofcourse you can also buy normal Savage XL TVP's en customize that.

Jahay 05.18.2010 12:53 PM

i just included that link for GCM, you will have to email him and ask for the mounts as they are not listed on the site... I have the DB-17 conversion and you still need to mod the TVPs for this motor. Sorry for not being clearer
