Just a little update on a new milestone. Got my 3S Top Fuel dragster into the 100mph club.

1st and 3rd round of qualifying in TF:

Geez Sunny! Thats flying bro! Congrats on that accomplishment! Now go for that fast ET at 1.17...

snellemin 03.28.2010 12:12 PM

That's Awesome Sunny!

SunnyHouTX 03.28.2010 12:19 PM

Thanks nitrostarter and snelle.

I would go after that record but that's a whole different class man: EXTREME. And that brings with it an extreme budget requirement as well. Also, there's not that many people who run that class here in Texas, well in the whole world for that matter. I find Top Fuel to be my cup o' tea for the time being. That and the True 1.05" (1/10 scale True 10.5 ). 3S Funny Car too, but the class died after last year in Houston. I just run it to hit numbers kinda like I did with my dragster yesterday.

WOW!!! That is too friging cool. Wish they had that where I live. Oh well, they just lately quit calling my 1/8th E buggy a flashlight:lol:

SunnyHouTX 03.30.2010 04:20 PM

Thanks Phil.

George, they learned a LONG time ago not to call electrics names around these parts LOL That only serves to wake up the beast. Flashlight, too funny :D

The closest tracks to you are in Florence SC and Fuquay Varina, NC. I think ATL also has a track now. Chicago too. It's a bunch of fun man. Hope you'll get one in Nashville soon. Have you thought of starting one up?

georgec 03.30.2010 04:31 PM

It took two years to get enough converts for an 1/8th E class at my local track. But I might just build one to do some speed runs in front of the hobby shop and hopefully spark some interest.
