If it went back to being a point of sale system for basic health care, most of today's issues will be alleviated. Like you pay your doctor for looking after you. Then we can start discussing about opening up interstate insurance markets like posted above, to drive down insurance premium costs for extraordinary/specialist medical care. But hey, that would be too easy.

Makes no difference to me, I couldn't really afford any kind of real health care prior to now anyway ? I haven't had a solid job in over a year and the state doesn't give me shiz because I don't have kids and not a minority. Far as the state/Gov is concerned, I don't count. Illegal aliens get better health care than I do and I've paid taxes for the last 24+ yrs.

I agree with this Brian...although it should be introduced into 'western' countries as a mainstream Darwinian populace control...

Eg; all sane, so-called normal people are provided with a loaded gun on their birthday. As they come across the epsilon minuses that we all do during the course of a day, they get to end the misery for everyone else with a free shot. No charges, no jailtime would be enforced & once you've spent your rounds the party's over

It really has nothing to do with "health care" it's all about wealth redistribution and nothing else! That has been this administrations agenda from the get go. It's a slap in the face to every working American. Next will come the SS enforcers to instill fear and compliance.

The problem with this is the next bill they are working on is about giving 30 million illegal aliens instant citizenship. Then they will reap the benefits of this monsterous bill for health insurance.

I blame the uneducated and ridiculous media coverage we have. The media is so far left and obama ass kissers its wrong! The bill that was passed was the most socialistic and communistic bill to be sign into service in American history. But the media pushes it as needed and amazing. Its bullshit!

Now about 1/3 of the current physicians currently working in the health industry are talking about leaving their jobs... Great lets see how backed up the doctors offices become...

What I can't believe, is that this crap happens, even though we have been looking at what a disaster it has been (national health care) in Canada. We've heard the horror stories.... lack of doctors, waiting months for needed care, etc. That's why so many Canadians come here for medical care!

While we are at it, why not copy the models of the Mexican military and North Korean foreign policy?

This crap is only going to change if we (the "average" person that gets screwed by all this stuff) can get special interest groups out of the white house, and end contributions to political interests. Trust me, those guys vote with their wallets, just like you or I would do if we were in the same situation.
We also need to get costs down - on everything. That will mean everyone will have to take pay cuts. Not something I ever see happening in the good old "its my right" U.S. of A.
This bill is not a health care reform, its an insurance package. It does nothing but drive up the cost to anyone that isn't in poverty. I'm plain fed up with insurance companies. They continue to jack our rates, deny coverage, and reduce coverage, while at the same time posting record profits while the nation is in the worst economic status since the 30's. My wife was bitching about unions going on strike in this time - "how could they expect more when times are tough". Well, if the unions dont push big companies to put pressure on the insurance companies, who else is going to do it? Joe blow? I dont think so....

It's so backwards, that the initial bill actually gave preference to illegal aliens over american citizens. I think that got "fixed", but it tells you how the democrats think.

I am in a similar boat to yours, I am white, single, no kids and work a low income job. I live with my sis and am trying to get on my feet, I can't afford health insurance. If i meet the minimum, I'll be either forced to buy, be fined or possibly jailed if no compliance. If i am below the minimum, My insurance will be provided by my sis, her husband and everyone else that is forced to buy. I stand to gain from this, and yet i see it is so wrong. It is Marxist, Socialistic and even Communist to force anyone into something they don't want to do or need to do
