Ambient temp 77F with sun, after the run (runtimes ~25-30min) 125F for the motor :yipi:

That's great news ... did you stick with the 15/46 gearing?

Nice... Tyres not taped?

nuz69 04.26.2010 05:34 AM

That's stock tires ^^ Balloning a lot but balanced ;) taped = glued ?

ANGRY-ALIEN 04.26.2010 10:08 AM

Taped: meaning a band of sticky tape on the inside of the tyre to reduce ballooning.. see the below photo...

Ow ok ! I will do that for when i get my new tires, that's ingenious ^^ Is it spécial tape for tires or just classical tape ?

Well, they are a few types that guys have used... see the below list

Gorilla Tape

Duct Tape - The most commonly used I think.

Strapping Tape - Seen in the above photo...

nice truggy! I was a little worried when you said you were getting high temps even though your gearing was low... But i think your gearing is too low for the motor???
I was going to run 22/44 on my savage.... Should tame the wheelies, give me gd top end and the motor should be able to easily handle it considering the torq2200 can manage it and this is meant to be WAY more efficient!... Think i know which sort of truggy i am going to get next.

itbvolks 04.27.2010 01:44 PM

Tall gearing pulls lots o current. I think you'll see your efficiency go away pulling that much gear.

Now, geared properly (16-17 maybe 18/46), it should do pretty darn well on 6s and be efficient provided some throttle control is used.

nuz69 04.27.2010 02:00 PM

Ambient temp was more than 80 ! 120F for 15/46 and 6S is a good result, and its the temp of runs over grass ;) It's not undergeared, it's a lot faster than my inferno VE, geared 14/48 and 2200kV 4S.

itbvolks 04.27.2010 02:03 PM

Agreed. 22/44 is way overgeared.

ANGRY-ALIEN 04.27.2010 02:31 PM

Hi guys... I think he's running that ratio through a gearbox... not with a CD setup, so it might not be that over geared...

Nuz69 Your crazy to be driving that close to other people. I'm no counselor but that looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. OTOH Nice wheelies! Crazy torque! What center diff oil weight are you running?

nuz69 04.27.2010 02:35 PM

Dont worry bmw, I am a responsible driver ^^ I volountary stopped the acceleration quickly because of the mass people :angel:
