Please try to keep this thread clean... I took this thread as a team driver trying to provide support for his teams products...

Its a bit obvious that he's going to be supporting his teams products... So with that in mind I'd just be grateful and hope he can help get anyone fixed up with any issues they have...

All the best...

It's a sensorless motor so any wire is fine, it won't burn up the motor. If it run reverse just swap 1 wire again.

The only time u need to follow ABC on esc n motor is on sensored motors.

Ok.Thanx...

how is the 1/8 combo?

I am looking at the Hobbywing 1/8 combo with the XeRun 4274SL motor and 150A ESC for my next brushless buggy build. I just like to try new stuff sometimes and i especially want to have a sensored seutp in my next build. Its going to be a Mugen MBX6 with Tekno conversion on 5s. So my options are the Tekin system or this Hobbywing combo. Has anyone tried this new combo from HW yet? How is it? How does it compare to the Tekin RX8 combos?

Hobbywing combo is with a sensorless motor. It's with a sensored esc for usage for future sensored motor from hw. You can use with tekin sensored motors too.

I have never tried a tekin esc before but compared to a castle mmmv3 I prefer hobbywing as it can be program outdoors & the support is good, price is good I can keep spare esc.

Castle can be program outdoor but need to buy.

The 4274 is 2000kv truggy motor plenty of torque n runs cool. 42 diameter 74mm in length.

The 4168 is 2250kv great for buggy. 41 diameter, 68mm length less torque but plenty of speed & run cool also.

Hw has all the function of a expensive esc & motor is 90% effIciency.

No clogging, smooth & great for it price.

I use it for all my races. Winning most of them.

Any other questions let me know:)

Ryu James 05.22.2010 08:20 PM

right on. thanks for the input. i thought the motor was sensored. do you know when they plan to release sensored motor for 1/8?
