Warnings in some places do go on a PD database if they are written. If it's verbal you got away free just don't screw up in front of the same cop again.
As said when pulled over be polite, yes sir, no sir, etc. Keep your hands where the officer can see them and remain relatively still. Cops get nervous when people are figity and they can't see what their hands are doing. Having your paperwork (license, insurance, registration, etc) ready is also helpful. Admit to what you did and be honest.
This has gotten me out of tickets better than anything else. Cops are so used to people doing the opposite of those things that when someone is polite, ready, honest, and calm they are shocked.
