OK, so the electronics setup is finalized!
Mtronics Genesis Truck Fiegao 540C-7XL |
Good choice.

That may be the setup that I will be running in my buggy later this month. I already have the Mtroniks Genesis Truck, though.

blackhawk444,
I saw your post at RCE about runtimes, and wanted to post a reply here (you won't get much friendly help at RCE's forum when it comes to brushless...believe me, I know). You asked how long you'd need to be able to run to race with the nitro 1/8th buggies. There will be either 2 or 3 qualifiers of 5 minutes each, then a main of 15 minutes. You'll be hard-pressed to make the 15-minute main with 12 nimh cells. I would guess that the best you'd get out of even 4200mah nimh cells in race conditions would be about 10 minutes. You'd almost definitely need a battery swap during the main, which will take quite a bit longer than a nitro re-fueling. If you could design some sort of quick-swap system for the batteries, that would be a benefit. I'm hopeful that my 4s lipo at 6400mah will make it, but I have yet to test it out since I'm waiting for electronics. |
Thanks guys...Another vital question...Would a 1/8th BL buggy handle as well as a 1/8th nitro buggy? Would the weight distrobution be way off?
|
ive heard that they handle just as good if not better than nitro ones
|
Well, you can place the batteries and the motor on the chassis, so depending on the placement it can.
|
blackhawk your going to be smoking all the compition man! does your chassis holde two sets of batteries? or one? not shure but your best bet would be some lipo with a 7xl.
Get some vidoes we cant wait. Get some pics to:) |
