Yeah it was a joke. I imagine the torque was awesome.
it had 880 horsepower i think.
MetalMan was the one that threw the 800 horse thing out there, their's was quoted at being able to make 500 or so.
As for the rc crap thing, it's the same as calling it junk or stuff, not actually meaning it's junk or crap......double meaning thing. Maybe Californians do it a bit more than others...... |
i like how they were talking like thats pretty fast for running on tool batteries. well if you think if it those tool batteries are what made it so fast light weight and loads of voltage. if you went with a normal car battery it would of weighed 3 or 4 times as much to get the same voltage if you even could of got that many car batts in there to get the voltage they were running. and if they went with a tranny with more gears they would of ran alot faster.
If they could have got traction could have went faster. That is not a light car. 14 sec quarter is not accually slacking. Especially for a 62 impala.

They said it was a new record, not sure if that means it was a record at that track, or like Guinness kinda thing.
On sucking Amps it was a record for a street driven vehicle, I think
They most likely set a record with most watched show by RC Junkies.

I dunno, full size cars are still pretty darn cool burning up dinosaur-juice, it was weird when they backed the '62 Impala off the lift and it was totally silent!
I sure wish I had seen it. I wonder if they re show it. Does any one know?
If i see it i'll let you know
I was looking around on their site, couldn't find out when they're going to re-air it though.
