I built (online) and purchased a computer from ibuypower. I think it's been like 3 years now since I bought my computer from them, but overall it was a good experience. Fairly fast shipping, they had everything ready and put together and shipped to me within a little over a week. At the time I paid up the ass for what would now probably be considered just above a decent gaming computer, and I don't game, I just wanted something with alot of power that would last me a long time.

Personally, I'd just go with Newegg, buy all the parts and build it yourself, seems to be the cheapest option these days.

I would build from Newegg parts, but I get it all assembled, the OS (even though I probably won't use Win7), and the certainty that all the things I pick work well together. I'd just like something decent without breaking the bank that I can upgrade once maybe twice.

Then ibuypower would probably be the place to go. As I previously stated, I've had great luck with my computer from them, and I thought the whole idea of being able to pick and choose exactly what I wanted was nice, and they seem to have a selection of components for any budget really. Plus, you can get a monitor and fancy gaming mouse and keyboard and various stuff like that direct from when buying a comp too.

Ehh, it's pretty hard to get something that doesn't work well together now-a-days.

Well, honestly, I think you'd be better off with something around an i5, or if you want to go years.. an i7, maybe an ATI 5750, that thing would power almost anything.. A good 4-8GB would last forever.
