Don't worry about your diffs then.

just get the bulks. i like that combination of the UE diffs and the FLM bulks. I have them both, the FLM bulkless with 8 spiders and the normal FLM bulks with the ue8 spiders, but i like the tweaking options of the UE diffcups better.

The picture you see of the FLM bulks are of the old type. the new type is made much lighter. (it looks about the same as the bulkless type)

Remember, that you need to buy a set of braces too with the bulks.

Why can't I just use the stock braces with my reg. FLM bulks?

My vote is for the FLM

Wow, this defenitely is an old thread; 2006!!

No need to use braces with the bulkless, i guess i didn't read close enough that it was about the bulkless FLM..

an aluminum brace adds some strength though, but the stock braces are too flexible, you can use them, but it's pure for decoration, it's not adding any strength;

the stock plastic ones will be too elastic, if the 12.9 screw has snapped that holds the bulks together at the diffcase, the stock brace will still be there.. it won't prevent the screw from snapping on an impact. (if it snaps at all) these bulkless FLM things are tough as nails. If you are planning on building an ultimate basher, and you want a durable setup, use aluminium braces.. (doesn't have to be FLM, they use the same bolt pattern as the stockers)
