Batteries are the most important part of you system, If you are willing to carry the weight of 36 cells I would suggest a 10sp2 lipo setup it will weigh the same or less and deliver the power that motor needs and give you very long runtime. A 400$ motor and a 400$ controler should go with 400$ batteries, not 50$ or 50 cent batteries. It would be like trying to run a car on cat pee. Now 400$ batteries are not nessisary but personally I would go with no less than some 3800s or 4200s quality cells. But seriously if you want to run a 2250 throw the budget out the window because to build an emaxx to handle that type of power will not be cheap, I would go with the best stuff ue has and cross my fingers... dragging around 36 cells will stress your drivetrain like crazy. I would like to see it done it would be a neat truck, I wouldnt mind drag racing you with my Jammin CRT 2240 8s lipo...

Don't underestemate the power of 36 cells buddy...

Your 8S isn't unbeatable..

Dafni 04.25.2006 12:59 PM

Hi Extremexmod, may I ask if you have some experience with BL?

Sneeck 04.25.2006 01:05 PM

Yes but he has to drag 36! cell's from a dead stop to full speed. By the time he does that, the crt is long gone.

maxxdude1234 04.25.2006 01:35 PM

hmm.....tough competition, 8s lipo or 36 bargain basement ebay cells. I'd favour the lipo :)

Sneeck 04.25.2006 01:38 PM

Ohh the amp rating of the 2250 accelerating will be interesting to see what it does to el cheapo cell's. Gimme some smoke pleaaase!

Serum 04.25.2006 01:41 PM

That's a passed station guys.. I am not a complete idiot... like i said in an earlier post, i'd take 16 good cells above 36 crappy ones..

We came to the GP3300's.....

These won't smoke.. (unless your name is Sneeck and you add them to your old packs.. :p )

Sneeck 04.25.2006 01:45 PM

Hell I can smoke anything that isn't supposed to smoke without trying!

Get your butt on msn please Rene...

Serum 04.25.2006 01:52 PM

Done eating Pancakes Sicco?!

nl12 04.25.2006 01:53 PM

I know 8s is not unbeatable, win or lose I think it would be a fun race.... but if I had 10s?............... my MGM would smoke!

Sneeck 04.25.2006 01:59 PM

You got weight advantage. 36 cell's will not get to speed to quickly. Need's to be 100% perfect balanced to stay in 1 straight line, not crash half speed into a curb without steering.

@ Serum,

Pancakes4evah!

coolhandcountry 04.25.2006 03:53 PM

The 2250 has no problem dragging the 36 cells around. Mine would drag 26 around like it won't nothing it was just the rest that didn't like them.
I am not worried about the motor as much as the rest of the truck.
I am surprised I didn't twist a cvd or something up like a pretzel. :D

boss 302 04.25.2006 05:10 PM

just get some good cells and you wont regret it

Gustav 04.25.2006 05:11 PM

Just my opinion but i think it's just unpleasant if you need to cringe every time you nail the throttle,it's called mechanical sympathy.I don't think i'd like to run 2.5kg of batteries with all that torque,i think it would just feel bad.It would haul though, literally, you could probably pull your road car along at a few mph.

extremexmods 04.26.2006 12:16 AM

Could I use a 10s lipo set up from max amps? Could I use the 4000 mah packs with out burning them up or would I need to use 8000 mah packs? Also, how good are these lipo cells and is this deal good?
