I am only trying to see if the MMPro can really be used in a truggy with big motor. Currently I have only extended the fan wire so I can give it constant power from the rx. This helps a lot, but the esc still goes up to 160f after a whole pack. Too much IMO, so going to try a novak cap, or just use my MMM.

I managed to blow up the MMPro and 6s battery on the work-desk, when I was soldering a cap onto the esc. Plugged it in after cap install, and poff smoke and flames until I ripped the battery from the esc. Oh well could have been worse.

This gives me a choice in what ESC and voltage I can run. My motor with 12t pinion is touching the rear brace, and its still too fast on 6s. So I am going to order a 5s 40C 5000mah zippy, and have hobbycity throw in a turnigy trackstar wprograming card. So I can just drive and not think too much about temps and stuff.

Update. The trackstar esc is VERY good considering that it costs one third of what the other esc's do!! Very reliable.

I have always hated gluing tires, so I have used premounts until I got tired of them balooning and coming apart from the rim with the truggy(never had this problem with my buggies....). So I built wheels using the advise from here; TAPE, balance and clean/lightly sand where I glue. This was totally worth the work, and made the car handle MUCH better:yipi:
