A basic 4200 is a nice motor on 8 to 10 cells and is crazy on 3s lipo,it can see 45mph quite happily on 8 cells. The 1920s are the ultimate motor for these cars though if you want crazy speeds from a smallish motor.

Gustav,
What setup are you using to hit those speeds?
i have a 6s in my t4 that is feeding off of a 2s lipo and i am seeing about 50 on the gps. i am soon going to bump up to a 3s and see where we fall.

That was with 4s and a 1920/10 which is 3100kv,a 4200 on 3s is very capable too.3s is probably a bit much for the 6s,higher wind would be better, less hot anyway.i think 3s is enough in these light trucks, they tend to take off if you go much faster, too much front end lift,i already have some ballast on the front of mine, about 80 grams ahead of the front axle makes it alot more driveable.

Edit; The great about adding weight out in front is it makes for great play handling,by increasing the polar moment of inertia means the car can't rotate as fast and makes it much easier to hold huge drifts,it's like an off-road drifter.Kind of reminds me of driving front engined rear drive cars like a MKII Escort rally car.I have about 80 grams in coins added to an RPM front bumper which puts it way ahead of the front axle. That's my top tip for some drift action, forget 4wd and putting plastic rings on a touring car, that's cheating and slow anyway, you can do the same thing but at speed with a sorted rear drive car.
