I'm definitely keeping a close eye on this one. No need for the OEM kit either, gimmie a roller sans electronics and motor and let me Castle-ize the darn thing. Weight and dimensions alone seem like it would make for a decent rig. I'd race my XB-E against a Baja any day, and something like this would be neat to compare against. |
Its a damn fine car, with the 1/8-layout there will be 5-T conversion kits soon after the car gets around. This big sucker could never be powered by a 1717 on 6s:lol:
Must sell the house now, to get started in BL 1/5-scale. I have heard the winter will be short this year, so I'll camp in the woods:rofl: Thomas G |
1717 warms up on both my Baja and XBE (but both are geared pretty high for such a relatively high kv motor). Unless you geared that Losi low enuogh to max out and join in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, the 1717 would probably fry if you even tried to run it on grass.
I'm pretty sure the 2028 on 8S would hustle that Losi around like a stripper who just got a hundred dollar tip. What concerns me however, is the overall weight. I wonder just how nimble the Losi would be around a track with jumps and switch turns and the like.. That's a lot of mass to "boogie" back and forth. Think of any 1/8 car with current powerplants available (either gas or electric) and consider which ones are winning races. Light and adequately powered cars with nimble handeling or the overall heavier and much more powerful ones? |
