On a stock chassis the servo sits in a pocket molded into the chassis. FLM may habe a mount, otherwise you may have to make one. I've seen some people use a RC-Monster battery tray attached to the FLM chassis to secure their lipos better.

Are you going to try and keep the motor up front or turn the trans around so it's in the rear? Looks kinda tight for mounting up front, the servo can be swapped to the other side easy enough, but will the motor hit the bulkheads by the shock tower?

Well I was going trans flipped but will hit the esc and have to gring the chassis for spur gear.
It is to tight to the front so need to get another mount. Was looking at the one mike has in the store but not sure yet.
I have to see what I can come up with for servo mount.
Have to pick up the micro servo and linkage for it first.
Regular servo seems a little large to put in between trans and esc.

Definitely go micro on the servo, no need for anything bigger plus they have only 2 mounting holes instead of 4 making things a little easier.

How much room do you need to mount the motor up front? Can you grind down the summit mount to move the motor back a bit? I was going to do that on my e-Revo to squeeze a 1520 in it without hitting the shock mount. Just make sure you can get the pinion on the motor and mesh right before you shave the mount down. Also if you mount the spur backwards it'll give you more room to shave the mount down more. I forget how much room you can get if you do all this, but it's something to look into. Would look neater with the motor up front than the esc, plus I like having as much weight up front in my Maxx trucks, seems to help on power steering and suits my driving style better.

I actually had the motor on there.
It fits but would need to move esc up front too.
It starts looking all jumbled in one area then.
I don't want to much weight in nose cause may roll over forward on brakes.
I think go with single motor mount and put over trans.

I found me a few flame stickers I had bought long ago.
I figure what the heck and added them to body to break it up a little.

I had issues with my shocks after checking them out.
The shocks would bottom out before the skid plates would.
I searched around through the many parts and found some thing.
I removed the UE shocks.
I went back to a 8 shock set up.

Measurement on shocks are
UE 120 mm long
New shocks are 135 mm long
They seem to compress down to only 5mm longer fully compressed
Gives me a lot of wheel travel now. More ground clearance as well.
Can't wait to see how it handles with these on it.

Well today was test day.
I was pleased with how it handled.
Sad to say the truck did not survive.
Broke bulkheads and a shocks in rear.
Back to ordering a few parts to fix it again.

I got my parts and such in today.
Will try to get more photos later.
Mounted some battery holders on chassis.

New tires are mounted up.
Proline Trenchers is what I went with.
They feel pretty light for there size.

Since I broke up some of the shocks on last run I went back to 4.
I did some spring modification on them.

how many S battery are you running on it and what kinda performance do you get? Hows torque and top end delivery?

I am only running 2 x 2s pack for 4s total.
I haven't tried the 6s on it yet.
Gearing at moment is 20/68.
It moves pretty good and torque is good.
I have punch control on though to keep it a little tame.
I like the super low range in 1st gear for the hill climbs and such.
It is just a matter of time before the diffs give me troubles though.
Back seems pretty strong but front is set for fail without the center diff.
Front stock and rear is aluminum house with flm cup with the 3mm screws.

Your new rims and tires are sweet. I love those new Trenchers. That is cool you kept the 2 spd. for lower speed climbing. Nice work man!

I mounted the trenchers on the Geode rims for the bead lock look.
They are lighter then I expected for a large meaty tire.
I am happy with the new design of my maxx I have.
The new tranny is awesome with the extra low gearing.
I went with the wide ratio instead of close.
