Alot of the popular packs are 50mm width. Always found myself modding battery trays to make packs fit.

It is likely the 55mm width will be the only one to ship - the chassis are somewhere in the production schedule and I caught Jamie in time to make the live change. The scalable battery setup was my input(Jamie and I often bounce ideas off one another when developing parts).

Looks like FLM has a motor mount, That mounts the motor lower.

Any one else notice, it looks to have a lot of holes between the holes for the New maxx tranny mounts? looks like you can use the old maxx tranny and adjust it.:mdr: Also with the solid pan, makes it easier to mount Mikes combo motor mount/diff setup

I doubt the old 3906 tranny will fit. If you look careful despite the many holes it's still the same cutout for the tranny between the FLM10700 and FLM10900:

I agree with your observation about easier installation of center diff.

Actually now I'm in doubt whether you are correct that the old tranny would fit.... But if it is the case, why would FLM build a chassis to fit the old tranny?

A lot of us with Gmaxx chassis's, still have the old tranny. I got one with a Gmaxx half conversion

Having a chassis that can fit the old & new tranny wiht no extra work required is brilliant, especially if you have an upgraded 3906 tranny, or no tranny at all & want to keep your option open.

K1RC- I prefer the low-slung style myself, makes the truck more stable, but it does also mean it will dragging it's belly through the grass and dirt if you have the suspension set quite low. Based on that, I'd say for hardcore bashing the original style is better, for less intense driving or onroad/high speed driving the new style is better suited.

I agree and I love having a truck that handles well its just personally I think the slab of alloy underneath is a little ugly... Just my opinion...

I just asked the question on their site, should have an answer in a couple days.

I'm surprised Mike hasn't checked it out, I'm sure he has a couple of the old transmissions that he may could eyeball it and see

I have the Fastlane conversion mounts, For putting the new transmission on the new Fastlane updated maxx chassis, before they could retool for the new transmission. I'll have to find them, but it looks close, as far as the spacing between the New transmission mount holes and the holes in the rails. All i'll say for now, is it's possible

It doesn't look like it to me. It's a moot point, however, because FLM makes adapters to mount an old tranny in a new chassis.
