Dude my cheapo turnigy charger will do over 9000 packs in parallel.

Yea. That.

Lulz, on a more serious note, I'll look up that 306B, I was thinking i208. I just want a zillion amps at 6s, preferably on a 12 volt supply.

That would be a 72s pack. You probably meant "in parallel". :na:

0.000000001c doesnt count. Also, I guess that I should have specified, rtr out of the box. As it turns out its six 8s packs. http://www.usastore.revolectrix.com/...MPA-XH_Combo_2

I suppose a guy like you that has 9000 packs will need 9000 of these: http://www.usastore.revolectrix.com/...rallel-Adapter

feistyacorn or Snellemin: I would like a high power 3s(and up) Non-balanced lipo profile that uses the banana plugs only. Can that happen with the Powerlab 8?

(4 tiny)3s packs for 12s.

I just ordered a para board for the smart ass Powerlab 8 to be happy.

I do like para boards.... just got one.

I've only made up 4 traxxas adapters so far.... but after I find a charger with more amps, I could see charging 6x 3s in parallel.

http://www.revolectrix.com/pl8_specs_tab.htm I think it can only do 2s lipo in the unbalanced mode. I've only used the balance mode, but I'll check the software when I get home.

I'm about over it now but wish I knew that before I bought it.

I ordered the software/usb stuff for the PL8 months ago but it got lost in the mail apparently. Thanks for your help let me know what you find out.

I played with the software some and profile 6 (unbalanced lipo) is locked at a max of 2s. Here is a link to the latest PL8 software (you can test it out without a PL8 connected): http://www.revolectrix.com/new_appli...ftware_v2.html

That's a sad and disappointing way to sell balance boards. I couldn't get the PL8 to discharge a slightly over charged lipo (even with the cell taps hooked up). My Hyperion wouldn't do it either though for that matter. I had to go to an A123 discharge mode on the Hyperion. Is 4.31v per cell bad?

Thanks for the link. I'll give it a try.

Perhaps I could interest you in a hacked up heat sink with a resistor glued to it?

bruce750i 02.23.2012 02:12 PM

^No thanks, I'll pass.
