Ok what's gives here?? The green car on 3s clearly blew away when it was powered on 6s. Sounds like they need to release a new firmware.

This is exactly why I don't buy Castle anymore, we had the same problem years ago in the heli world!!! Speed controllers catching on fire and just blowing up for no good reason, and your heli falls from the sky complete rebuild!!! Not anymore for me!!!

You didn't watch the video did you? You couldn't have. He said Castle is good, but he feels lied to about the new current limit or something. "this is exactly" you say. (Does anyone remember how SuicideNeil would berate people? I miss him. lol Neil would probably berate me for punctuation. The moderators at Traxxas have nightmares about him.)

I am sure everything is going to be fine. My MMX performs better than my latest version MMM. Let me say, it performs awesome. I had the last model of MMM before the MM2. That performed awesome too, but would get 150f sometimes. My MMX hasn't broken 130f in similar conditions. Actually the guy on the video said that he treats his stuff good and doesn't blow stuff up. He said that he did have two escs burn but he said that was his fault. He says, "remove the limits, and let me worry if I don't have a warranty." "I know how to take care of my stuff." Call me a fan boy. I don't care. I had a MMMv3 that could take live ammunition. I was and continue to be impressed with Castle. I have personally spoken to the owner. He has replied to threads that I started.

We could use some answers, sure.

I agree i have had my stuff for ages, recently lost a original mmm. Sucks because it was a good esc. This new stuff just doesn't cut it for me though. I have 3 xl2 a couple mm2 and a mmx runs fine as long as you don't want too much from it like in rawsteeles video.

My MMX is bananas on 4s just like the old stuff, in fact, its better, because it runs cooler. The gearing for my MMX would eventually thermal my older MMMs. 12 pound truggy geared for like 55mph. My MMX doesn't thermal. I love the new features, and the monster bec. Maybe we will see sensored motors and even sensored 1/5th scale escs and motors. I have never ran 6s though and I don't have a XL2 or XLX.

Oh I watched the video he is just stating what I already know!!! A new and improved product that is not as good as the one it is replacing!!! You do the math!!! Castle has been flirting with disaster for a long time... I don't care one way or the other I just don't use anything they make anymore!!!

Looks like a firmware issue/decision to smooth load when esc running at max voltage. Have to say I'm impressed by the video. He has some fast cars.

You and the guy from the video are not saying "exactly" the same thing.

You said, "they blow up no reason", he said, "hey castle remove the limits and don't lie to me"

Not exactly, reread my first post. I said that in the past in the heli world we had similar issues with Castle ESC's, they would either blow up or catch on fire or shut down in the middle of a flight!!! All resulting in a complete rekit of the heli...

I have no idea why I wanted to argue. I'm done. Carry on.
