Chances ue gonna make them again are very very small.
Yup, I was under the impression there gonna stop making em.
For what reason?
Supply and demand :032:.

Hey, what about the FLM chassis it is 6160 but it is very strong. Strong enough that FLM guarantees it against bending and breaking no matter what you put it through for life. I hit a curb last week and bent a lower a-arm, hybrid case and the front skid plate. It cost me $17 to replace them. I fear no wreak LOL.

FLM is clearly not even close as the same quality as UE.
But that aside, it is the best option since these kind of emaxx chassis's are getting rare. I would deffinatly get a lightning over anything else if I where a basher. They look so darn sexy. |
Any chance that Mike has of them?
I mean SOME of them?
Very SLIM, even if he does, i dont think they are going for some pretty penny, captain!

If the quality of the flm is so bad then why are they still making them and not the ue?
Come on guys....Sneeck has a point, the UE is of a higher quality, but the price is rediculously high. MMDooley also has a point, with FLM's warrantly, you can't go wrong...Lets compare apples and apples, The FLM suspension is superb for the price as is the quality, and for the price, you can't beat it. The UE Widetrac suspension is top notch, but the price isn't to hot. The quality however is great. Chassis wise, its the same thing. Why buy a chassis that cost over 3 times what a very similar one does when you could buy the cheaper one, and bend it and replace it with FLM's warranty more than 20 times over and still be less than the more expensive chassis??
That's true. Also let's not forget about spare part's for the lightning. Even if you do get your hand's on a full chassis, if you bend it or damage it in any way, good luck on finding spare part's. But good luck in damaging such a chassis too.
There was one on ebay a few day's ago and it went for a little over 200$. You can choose whatever you want, i'm sticking with my custom flamemaxx chassis's. |
Hmmmm...I guess the G-Maxx chassis is the best thing money can buy for the time being, though I have the FLM chassis and I'm not really that fond of it.
Robin has said that the reason he stopped production on the Lightning was because he wanted to place the majority of his funds into the Razorback. The Lightning didn't sell enough to be worthwhile, like people have said, alot of Maxx users don't need a super good chassis that costs 4x more than others on the market.
