Last thing, I beleive would be tires..!!! I'll be using my emaxx on a mixed surface including parking lots and a lil bit of dirt. What do you guys suggest.!!! Also if I had to keep two sets....one for dirt and one for pure road racing, I wouldnt mind either if the performance diff is that big.

Good ol' maxx mashers are hard to beat as an allround tyre if you just want to use one set for everything, they last for ages even on tarmac. They won't give maximum grip on any surface but i like to drift, easier on the drivetrain too.

Hustler, I am pretty new at this too. I agree with the guys above - 9920/12020 with a 8xl is a nice set up. Steel CVD, strobe slipper and steel idler is the initial start out. However when you are on a budget, wait for the servo. The better servos are digital, and when those are used with the stock radio, they will burn out rather quickly. The reason is the stock radio does not have EPA (end Point Adjustment) and when the servo turns, the radio will continue having it power though the wheels has turned to the limit. With the purchase of a nice digital servo, you would need to get a new radio with EPA and receiver. I would suggest waiting on the servo unless you have $$ to spend.
