Well the 1950 8t is great. If you like a little more run time. You could go with a 9t. The 8t is happy on 6s though. About the same kv as a 9xl.

What do you guys think of a 1920 10 turn? 16 cells or lipo?

I think it would be to small for a MT without heating up.

I would go 1930 before the 1920. A 1930 10t is pretty decent in a emaxx.

I was just looking at the price for the 1950/8, which is REALLY what i want, but man, the price is killer! :-( What are the basics like (lehner)?

The lehner xls are decent but I would go wander xl before that.

The basics are a nice quality but a little small for what you want unless you can keep the weight right down,an xl2400 on 4s is nice for a light maxx for example.A xl1600 could be good but might run hot.they can kick out some power though despite their size.

Here's my issues. I want more speed, that doesn't cost a million dollars, keep my temps down, and that's not so huge in weight(the motor). This is why i'm having such a hard time with this! I would love the 1950/8, but the price...the price, the price! Darn it!

Well you have the next best thing in the 10xl,the 19series are very nice but more of a luxury item unless you're racing alot.

edit,yeah captain the 1930s are very capable of powering a light MT,i got a 1930/8,awesome little thing.

You can get a 1930/10 for $250+ and remember, you get what you pay for.

He's using a 1920/10 with a 7018 warrior and he says its almost too fast.

I think it was a long time ago. He's using old Integy stuff.

That's old school bl setup though,huge rpms.i've got that same motor,i run it in a 1700 gram truck on 3 or 4s.
But yeah the smaller 19series are mighty wee things.

I would just stick with the XL motor. It's about as good as it gets without spending $335.

I guess then my setup of 1920/8 w 2095 micro is considered old school, since I purchased it back in 2001
but the system does work good for me...
