I had IB3800's and they have got a HUGE imbalance in the pack (they where expensive cells from BK, something like 10-11 dollars each) three out of 16 cells have got this imbalance.

You will love those Hopf cells, they are the bomb.

When i freshly soldered my packs, at the first charge at .7A, they have got the exact same voltage (0.01V accurate)

With a discharge, the cells stayed at the same level too.

So those guys know what they are doing. After 4-5 charges the cells truely show their energy. You will love them, that's for sure.

I soldered them with solver tin and a 80W weller soldering iron with a huge tip (big thermal buffer) that way the cells stay cool. after 2 seconds of soldering, the temp was 36 degrees C.

I think I ordered the right cells :017: Thanks for the info Serum!

@ Serum,

did you allready saw the pictures of my J-truggy complete assembled? Look here

Serum 07.09.2006 07:39 AM

Yeah, i did see it Jasper, looks nice with those foams. You really need to use AE cups to keep the batteries in place. (how many cells are you going to use?)

You need to do some machining on the diffholder, that truggy deserves better than a square plate.. :)

Did you soldered batteries before bytheway? or did you get them as a pack?

Serum, your lucky you got a good website to get top notch batteries, i would LOVE to get some if i could understand the language on the site ;)

Serum 07.09.2006 10:07 AM

Lol,

just search the website.

(Schnellsuche) search for 3300 you'll find what you want.

you can also use a website, such as freetranslations.com for words you don't understand.
