Does any one know what volts the lipo normal cuts off at for lvc?

BrianG 07.19.2006 07:35 PM

Adjustable from 2.2v to 3.0v per cell...

You can adjust it from 2.2 to 3 volts on manuel.
You can't adjust volts on normal lipo.
I was wondering what the cut off was.
Unless I am doing something wrong.

I know what you are saying. The manual states that the cutoff table is only for the "Lipo Manual" setting, but then goes on to say:

Quote:

Once you have selected “Manual” from table 3.2-4 and set the cut-off voltage manually, switching the battery type to an automatic cut-off will not automatically change the cut-off voltage. (For example: If you have selected “Manual” and a cut-off voltage of 2.2V, any attempts to change the battery selection to “Li-Poly Normal” or “Li-Poly High” will maintain the cut-off voltage of 2.2V and thus, the cut-off voltage must be reprogrammed).

So does that mean you have to program the manuel part then choose your battery selection. That would mean you have to program twice. I got the manuel setting now so I would just have to reprogram it to lipo normal.

It is kinda confusing, but that is what it seems to say. But, then again, the manual also says to disregard the manual cutoffs if selecting Lipo normal or Lipo high. The manual seems to contradict itself. :032:

What it could mean is that when you initially program the ESC to Lipo normal or high, skip the manual LVC section altogether. However, if you at some point select the manual setting, and then decide to go back to the normal/high auto setting, that the manual setting will still be in effect implicitly. Maybe jhautz should give them another call? :032:

(310) 527-0002 They are very helpfull. Its nice to be able to call and get questions answered. Other than CC I don't think there is another manufacturer that you can do that with.
