Edit: I did a little digging and found this converter. It was a PITA to install, but I installed it and if I did it correctly (I think I did since I double checked myself using the .8 to 32P conversion. It came to 31.something) it came out to 25.4P.

Just do a standard-to-metric conversion. There are 25.4mm per inch. So, 0.8mm=0.03149in, or 31.49 pitch. Likewise, 1.0mm=0.03937in, or 39.37 pitch.

Nothing personal brian. But that is not right. According to that it would have finner teeth. Squee has it right. Or close enough to right.
Remember the higher the pitch number the smaller and finner the teeth.

you are the best squee.. ;)

aqwut 08.12.2006 10:01 AM

so the mod1 pinions would work with 24 pitch spur fro SDP-SI... cuz this 32 pitch teeth aren't holdn' up.....

Gustav 08.12.2006 10:12 AM

or you could buy a mod1 spur from them instead:032:

aqwut 08.12.2006 11:38 AM

Couldn't find any mod1 spurs Gustav.... Maybe i should try looking at it again....

Go to the store and click on metric,then gears then spur gears.They seem to have a huge stock there.I ordered from them once but the international shipping was ridiculous.

Arrg. Sorry about that. I mixed up the dividing. :dft001:

pitch = 25.4 / metric
metric = 25.4 / pitch

So

0.8m=31.75p
1m=25.4p
.53m=48p

It is ok brian. Just trying to keep you on the right track.

And I thank you. The math makes more sense now too - imagine that. :)
