I will try to mod a 1/8" bore pinion for you. I have up to 15 tooth in stock with the 1/8" bore.

Thanks.....

I will have 5mm bore 15, 16 and 18 tooth steel pinions in mod1 pitch in a few days. I am working on the same gears in lower tooth counts (12, 13, 14) and in 1/8" bore, but these will be a couple weeks away.

so why don't people run 5 or 6xl on their trucks (instead of a 9L)?

RC-Monster Mike 04.16.2005 09:17 PM

Heavy. Not necessary. It certainly could be done. the 6xl is very close to the 9L interms of speed (rpm/volt).

Superemaxx89 04.17.2005 01:29 AM

just b/c it weighs 20 more grams? Though the 6xl will have similar speed, it will have alot more torque meaning you can gear for alot more speed right?

Serum 04.17.2005 04:55 AM

Well...

It does have got more torque BUT.....

Here is a little thing, you need to keep in mind;

The power a motor can give will not be any higher than the power the batteries can deliver.

A lehner basic motor is able to pull a 100A from your packs. So is the 9L, if it does pull that 100A, the voltage drop of the cells will be about .85- .9 volts, X 100A = 85-90 watts per cell. time the amount of cells lets say 12, would result in 1020-1080 watts

That L serie is a motor that can take the maxximum power from your batteries, so is the XL.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

i get it now! thanks.
