I will try to mod a 1/8" bore pinion for you. I have up to 15 tooth in stock with the 1/8" bore.
Thanks.....

I will have 5mm bore 15, 16 and 18 tooth steel pinions in mod1 pitch in a few days. I am working on the same gears in lower tooth counts (12, 13, 14) and in 1/8" bore, but these will be a couple weeks away.

so why don't people run 5 or 6xl on their trucks (instead of a 9L)?
Heavy. Not necessary. It certainly could be done. the 6xl is very close to the 9L interms of speed (rpm/volt).
just b/c it weighs 20 more grams? Though the 6xl will have similar speed, it will have alot more torque meaning you can gear for alot more speed right?
Well...
It does have got more torque BUT..... Here is a little thing, you need to keep in mind; The power a motor can give will not be any higher than the power the batteries can deliver. A lehner basic motor is able to pull a 100A from your packs. So is the 9L, if it does pull that 100A, the voltage drop of the cells will be about .85- .9 volts, X 100A = 85-90 watts per cell. time the amount of cells lets say 12, would result in 1020-1080 watts That L serie is a motor that can take the maxximum power from your batteries, so is the XL. |
I couldn't have said it better myself.
i get it now! thanks.
