Could some explain to me how the stock chassis can have a lower center of gravity or lower battery mounts than a g2r. The batts set almost as low as the skids. If any lower that will bottom out first.

Actually they are identical in wheelbase, I have both. For handling, you can't beat a G2R, it out corners everything i have ever raced against and comes close to running with buggies. Everybody i let drive it are impressed, some of them are hardcore nitro and revo owners

The stock chassis are great for bashing, acceptable for racing - it flips on occurance though... as for the g2r, its an all out racing chassis, even on high grip surfaces i had problems trying to flip it over. For racing, g2r all the way, for bashing stockers work great. :028:

FWIW: The only time I flip (using the stock chassis) is if turning on a high traction surface like grass. On the track, only a rut in the track on a turn will flip it. The batteries aren't exactly low, but the motor, batteries, tranny are all on the same plane. IIRC, the tranny is the highest "heavy" item on the truck. I'm very happy with using the stock chassis.

Ya crazy, I do believe my EVO had the lowest CG using the stock chassis but it definelty wasn't the lightest. Its 2yrs old this month :018:. Boy time flies

I believe the EVO weighed around 12.5 pounds with 18 GP3300's. It was a great racer for its time and was very entertaining to watch the nitro trucks bounce off of it like flies during a race :005: I was able to win several races with this truck.

However, I now own 2 G2R's and would say that if you're going to build a truck for hard core racing, there's nothing better than the G2R. It's light weight, has a low CG and is very durable. My G2R weigh's ~9 pounds with 6S lipo, which is a decent racing weight. If you have the money, go with the G2R.

The Gorillamaxx E-Revo conversion package is fantastic. I'd vote for that.

Yeah, you need a little of mass in races.. I hear you.. Too light isn't too good either. makes the truck handle less predictable, and you'll be pushed around easy..

I never implied that the stock chassis was a bad setup, I was answering Leroy's question about how the stock chassis could have lower center of gravity. Matter of fact i like the stocker setups, but i am a racer and lazy so i waited for Gorilla to do it for me:p :cool: .

On the G2R, i can run in almost anything but concrete and blacktop, high G cornering is a no-no for those. I can out corner truggies with mine

I have another Revo conversion chassis, much lower CG than the Gorilla or stock. Basically lipo only though, I am sure you can fit nicds in there but I dont feel like wasting the time in making it work for them myself. I will post up some pictures in the near futute if anyone is interested. Currently running 5s/ big maxximum/ mamba max in it with excellent results. Another good thing is it has a center diff. :eek:
