That FLM chassis looks pretty! not too bad!!

If you place them low and to the center, they would actually work.. You only need to figure out what spring/oil to use.
i tried them on my maxx with the dace towers, and the two holes closest to the center gave me quite some travel.. If they where laid down more, the travel would increase. |
Only need to change the small ball-studs before they fit the maxx arms.
|
Interesting. Didn't think they would clear the arms, but then again I've never tried it!

ya... i looked at that option. i have some revo shock right here, but damn... you would have to lay them down quite a bit!! the stroke is really short.
in theory it could work tho, the spring rates might possibly work out if you got them at enough of an angle to give full travel. cant lose travel.... the flm chassis is freakin sweet!!:004: i couldnt be happier... its not gonna fail, im sure! it just needs to be twice as fast as it is now and ill be happy...:030: |
You could use the Jato's shocks with the Nova Low profile shock towers and get a very good ride height with enough shock travel.
|
If you loose the blue stops, the travel will increase.
Captain; i think the FLM's are close in low mounting options. If you want a real low design; the gmaxx towers, or the duh-engineering gmaxx suited towers. |
well i just snagged another set of ofna 12mm shocks, so ofna it is!! i just did some test fitting with the ones i have on the stock towers.... it looks like the front ofnas will be a direct fit, the rears are too long. but with different towers i think the rears would work just fine. theyre about 3/4" longer than the fronts. the fronts are 1/8" longer than the stock maxx shocks.
i ended up using rear springs on the front shocks to get a little more preload. |
here is a vid of a maxx doing the low 30s this should chear you up.http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...64402387&hl=en

It's a funny movie to watch, especially the 2nd part..
|
mabey a little funny but i like the vid a lot.

Funny in the most positive way gmaxx.

i saw that vid.. i remember posting vid of my revo with a novarossi 528xr and i heard a comment "that as close to a brushless ive seen" well honestly i havnt seen a brushless thats even close to my revo? i can never go full throttle... at any speed without flipping over.:027:
i wanna see a brushless like that!! low 30s is like 20mph slower than my revo... ive had 1/18 brushless stuff and it was crazy, am i going to be disappointed with 1/10? im expecting at least 50mph and soo much acceleration that it flips at nearly any speed, is that unreasonable? its not in nitro land... if it is tell me now, please!! ill go back to my buggy and forget this emaxx thing even happened!! lol.. i hate the thought of spending big money to go brushless to only do a little over 30mph... whats that $10 per 1mph? i need more speed than that! ya cant hardly get any good air under 30... lol.. again... heres where i run, and this is how we do it!! http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...54172730&hl=en am i wasting my time with this maxx? would you treat your shiney maxx this way? im tryin to figure out who im talking to... do you guys really bash your high dollar maxxs? little 4-8 foot jumps dont count, im talkin going big!! i know lipos are kinda unstable, thats why i wanted to stick with 14 cells. honestly i saw a vid with some cheap $20 600 motors and it looked faster than any brushless vids ive seen? theres that one guy who has a bunch of vids and he uses the dual stick radio... it looks fast, but you can tell hes afraid to break it? he never winds it out so you can see top speed, and he doesnt punish it AT ALL! do these brushless motors break easy? |
