I have a new project in the works.
It will be a hybird.
I was thinking of parting this one out and going to a new line of trucks.

Update.
Truck has been torn down and lengthened a touch.
Adding the Gmaxx longer rear skid and top plate.
Still debating to part out or not.

Awesome vintage slipperential chc :)

coolhandcountry 11.26.2010 06:03 PM

Yes it is.
That is one reason I really want to keep it.
May just look into building another and keep this one together for now.

What do people think about parting this one out?
Would I get a few bucks to put towards another?

Finnster 12.17.2010 10:34 PM

What's the gear reduction?

Someone would snag that quik. Hell, even me :)

Old school slipper.

Yea I would think that the old school slipperential would fetch a few bucks if you let it go. Wasn't there only a few of those made, like 4 or 5 of them? In comparison to the new one it looks like old engineering, but I bet it works great. We all get tired of the same old thing and just need a little something different sometimes to keep us excited. Selling off vintage stuff is always a tough decision. Good luck with that.

That was one of the first RCM sliper diffs Mike had made.
It is version 1.
Others versions was made cause of chassis changes and where the motor was mounted made for limited ESC room.

I like the design but just not sure want a center diff any more.

coolhandcountry 12.03.2011 08:31 PM

I am having issues mounting my 1717 serious motor on this.
It seems to be hitting my chassis and mount.
I would also have to mod the holes for a larger screws.
I am not sure want to do this.

Photos????

Hard to lend any assistance without seeing your setup. Take a few pictures and let us see what your problems are. Most of us have no problem making modifications when they are good ones. Go for it unelss you plan to sell the center diff.

coolhandcountry 12.04.2011 09:50 AM

I think I may have to change setup.
With the larger diameter motor it hits a brace for the center motor mount.
I didn't really want to mod the slipper diff.

coolhandcountry 12.04.2011 05:25 PM

At current time I will start disassemble truck.
Parts going to ebay.
Must fund new project.
