The .18tz is a serious motor. Probably would have to go with a medium block .21 or the sirio .23 to beat that! I am not sure on the prices, but I can find out.

i can get a starterbox w/2 gell cells and a wasp .28 with mount, header, flywheel, ect. for 200. the motor had about a half gallon through it. would that be a good motor for my revo?

You need a conversion kit as well. I would not buy a used nitro, or it must be from someone i knew.

The .28 would rip the revo apart(diffs, tranny would be on the endangered species list). I wouldn't even consider this motor for a Revo. I don't even run a motor that big in my Lightning Stadium, which can put down a lot more power than a Revo.

Mike I am looking for a good all around engine with lots of power in all the useable RPM.Also one that I do not have to retune every I run my truck and not a pain in the a$$ to get started!
Any input would be great!!!
Thank you,
Daniel Murray

I know the hyper engines run very well and also hold a tune very well. I will strap the .27 into my truggy and break it in this weekend if I get the time. I wil let you know how it goes!

squeeforever 07.08.2005 09:18 PM

mike what would be a good engine for my revo? something around 150ish and would have a good allaround powerband. something to maybe race with.

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 09:24 PM

Nothing wrong with the stock motor. IMO, it is one of the best smallblock motors out there. If you break it in properly, it will run strong, long! The RDLogics high end pipe wakes it up quite a bit as well. I have an o.s. tm .18 in my Revo. O.S. simply rocks, if you ask me. The best running, easiest to tune engines out there. The O.S. needs taller gearing to make the speed, though.

whats the difference between the tz and tm? also what is your price on one of them? (pullstart)

The TZ is a turbo head and glow plug.
The tm is not just your #8 O.S plug HOT
