Lol. I was wondering when someone was going to ask that. OK, it's kinda geeky, but it's HEX code for "RCMonster". Just break up the string into 9 seperate two character sets. You can use Windows "charmap" application to verify.

Serum, you were sorta close - you recognized it as Hex. I was going to use binary, but since each character needs 8 bits, the string would have been too long. :)

First off, thanks for the compliments guys!

WWHHUUUOOOO, look at THAT center balance! I could be mistaken, but i think i even see the shock pre-load increased on the battey side! :005: Isn't that 1200 grams on one side?!?

The lipo is about 625g + the esc, on the other side there will be the motor and motor mount, plus 2 servos. It is a little off but nothing to worry about...

I got it at Home Depot, the plate is 1/8" thick and the batt tray is 1/16" thick...

More pics later if I get the motor mount today!....

thanks, I snapped one of the gorilla straps today so I guess its time to check out home depot.

gixxer 04.06.2007 12:33 PM

well I checked online and they were out of the medium strap. it might be over kill :005: but I went to the large, 2 inch wide. The good thing is its only $5 for 36 inches. I should be able to do 2 cars with it.

What is that black thing holding in your battry? Do you have a link? I am trying to find a way to hold in my battery. Also how is it working out for you?

the strap he is using can be bought at home depot. I belief he is using the medium one. just go to homedepot.com and search for husky strap.

S/X Runner 04.06.2007 04:19 PM

is it called hangalls?

BrianG 04.06.2007 04:22 PM

Sure looks like it to me judging by the search results.

Serum 04.06.2007 04:27 PM

a search for 'husky strap' will give you a better idea than the useless search result Brian posted.. :p

BrianG 04.06.2007 04:34 PM

What are you talking about? I didn't post a search result... ;)

S/X Runner 04.06.2007 04:41 PM

Thanks guys. I think it is the hangall with the loop at the end.

cemetery gates 04.06.2007 09:43 PM

First off, the husky hangalls strap did come with a hook and extra material to attach it, I just carefully cut the uneeded material off.

Ok, I got the mount today!:017: Mike even included the nice tag on the package too!

ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MIKE'S MOTOR MOUNT WILL NOT FIT NEU FINNED CAN MOTORS WITH OUT MODIFYING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought I'd let everyone know, heres why:

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/IMG_1157.jpg
Because of the fins on the motor, it is to wide to line up with the mounting holes; nothing a dremel cant fix. Also the rear support doesn't really fit either, though the motor rests on the bottom of the mount so you don't really need it anyway...

Fixed it with a little help from Mr. Dremel...

It's complete!:

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/IMG_1160.jpg

I ran it today, auto shifting with an electric is cool!; there is no lag at all like with a nitro, no drop in rpm's. Also what CD oil should I run? I have 120,000 ofna stuff in there now, and it just unloads the front tires like crazy and acceleration suffers because of it...

Thanks! I am running a 38 tooth spur, going to get a 36 tooth spur tomorrow though. The temps are great on this setup, 20min+ driving and every thing is cool, not even warm.:028:
