The 2600 is just a "hotter" wind which will be faster on the same battery and gearing but also suck more juice and everything will run hotter. But of course you can gear it down and reduce the heat (and speed)

Between those two motors you can more or less make them run the same by adjusting the gearing. If you go with the 2600 just expect to run a smaller pinion than you would on the 2000, that's all.

Since I now have decided to empty my wallet completly and go for a high end setup I will be sure to get the best esc for this neu motor :-)

Yup, the Quark is smooooth...

I've done hand tests, holding the shaft as hard as I could, couldn't stop it, and it was spinning slooooow, with the minimum throttle I could apply.

I've been monkeying around with trucks lately too. I first did a Monster GT and now I'm playing round with a Losi Muggy. Both go at around 13lbs, so they are heavy with the 8Ah batteries that I run in them. I can say unreservedly, go with an 8XL or similar motor. If you get a Neu, give some serious consideration to either the 2000kv or 1900 kv (I think it's supposed to be more efficient) motor, or maybe even the 1700 if you go with the 1515. You do not want high rpms in a truck and I think that anything over 2000kv in a truck is high rpms.

If you want to be able to throw the largest brick of a battery into it and run until your fingers are tired without worrying about overheating anything, just keep it solid and don't go overboard. I started out with a 7XL in all five of the vehicles that I did and have since gone with the 8XL and that class of motor and am happier for having done it. On the plus side, you can gear the lower kv motors more and if you ever get the wild hair to try 5S, a sub 2000 kv motor would be the ticket for a rocketship ride. If speed isn't a primary concern, there's nothing wrong with a 9XL either. That and a MM controller would be cheap and whole bunch of fun.

It seems like the Quark 125B has the most votes. But what about these:

Would any of these be good for the Neu 1512 2.5d/f , Neu 1512 2d/F or the bigger Neu 1515 1y/F ??

What about the setup - as easy as possible ??

Don't use the BK Warrior (any model) for anything other than 2 pole motors (Feigao, LMT, etc). The Neus are 4 pole.
The Mamba Max doesn't work too well with the Neus either. People have run this ESC with multi-pole motors, so it must be something specific to the Neus. There is supposed to be a MM software update to address this, but is not available, and there is no ETA for when it will become available.
The MGM should be a nice ESC, but some people have brake/reverse issues.
The Quark would be your best bet IMO. It works very well with pretty much any motor...
