The cogging (push-start) problem seems to be common with the MM combined with a Novak or LRP BL motor. Better batteries should help.

Better batteries will help that start up problem. Get a decent set of at least GP3300 or IB3800 and you should see a big improvement on the start up. Try playing with the timing settingon the MM that might help also.

I tried all of the timing settings and they all performed the same.
Even though it's a push start vehicle, I'm still having a ton of fun with it because it's the fastest vehicle I've had in 2 years. The crawlers top out around 4 mph :027: .

Here's some video...kinda sucks cause I need a camera man.

Do you have the stock rotor in the novak motor? I put my feigao rotor in my ss5800 can and it worked much better. I would venture a guess that the novak sintered rotor upgrade will help too. I run my novak motor off of a u-force 75 and the startup sounded just like yours before I switched the rotor.

check and make sure nothing is biding either sometimes its the small things you dont see that cause the problem!
