Okay, you had the cvd's at the end of the cup with this 'accident'?

unfortunately yes.
I know that RPM arms flex a lot but for some reason i had it connected with revo so when I was putting them on i did tighten the pillow balls according to instructions so not enough well lesson learned :) I was so happy not braking any arms for couple months and UE springs on OFNA shocks (finally satisfied with suspension) that I missed this. |

Well I bent one a little, I don't know how it happened either, I was running on hard packed gravel with thin loose layer top. Check out my thread about the Quark case, the first post has a link to a video of my maxx running, it happened that run too. Only a very slight wobble. |

it was much closer to the end. it seems to be ok now. did not fall out after 8 sets of batteries |
I usually put the center of the ball of the dogbone on the point where the angle starts inside the cup. (keep in mind that moving the suspension up and down changes the distance)

So you think it is hitting the back end of the cup then when the arms flex? When the CVD's are straight (under acceleration) the bones are a little bit more than half the way into the cup (center of pin).
I do have the pillow balls all the way in, I should let the out a bit I guess. At the time it happened, I had forgot to grease the out drives on the rear diff, so it had seized up, and was almost like a locked spool. I have a hunch that was it. |
