+1 - lol Looks like if we ever had a RC Monster get race it would be a matter of last one running.

Don't worry, I'll turn off the lights when I'm done... :p

AAngel 05.23.2007 04:01 PM

LMAO, yeah, I'm the guys whose stuff was always running good, but hardly ever won a race. I'll tell you what though, I may lose alot, but I look darned good doing it!!

Serum 05.23.2007 04:35 PM

LOL, that's funny Aangel..

Like Leroy (coolhand) says; who cares about the two different screws, i can't see it when it's passing by at 60 mph!

SAME HERE! LOL

Hmm, makes me wonder how many good drivers there are here. Sounds like there are more bad ones than good ones! :)

AAngel 05.23.2007 09:38 PM

Actually, I've been practicing lately. I'm usually working on one thing or another, but I now have all bases covered and there's almost nothing left to work on. I milled a new battery tray for my 8ight out of delrin today, and I'm sure that there will be a few other things that I'll want to do, but I have time to drive now.

Who knows, I may make the podium one of these days.

BrianG 05.23.2007 09:39 PM

I always win.... when I'm the only one on the track. :)

Actually, that's not right. Even then I lose sometimes... :sigh:

AAngel: You do realize that you have to post pics of the delrin trays when you're done. ;)

I didn't see these available until this morning and by then they were sold out :007:

i wonder how many mike made in the first batch?
bout the neu i see it this way;
lots use the 1512 in buggy and a 1515 in truggy.
but nitro guys are almost always using .21 for buggy in the newer truggies.
so it must work nice i'd say. no experience tough, but i do feel i did the right thing.

I got my mount in a couple of days ago. I found a couple of things that I had to "fix." First, the chassis mounting holes weren't nearly deep enough for the stock 8/32X1/2 screws, leaving only about 1/4" of thread engagement. It looks like the holes are deep enough, but the threads aren't. I'm going to have to get another 8/32 bottoming tap and chase the threads.

The second thing was that I had to mill a relief in the mount to allow access to the set screw on my pinions. It doesn't look like the century motor pinions will work at all, although I haven't tried them yet.

On the whole, it's a nice mount and looks pretty.

Mike made 10 of these mounts; all went pretty quick indeed..

crazyjr 05.27.2007 12:44 PM
