Just be patient. I had problems with my great assembly bulkheads, the hinge pins wouldn't fit through the bulkhead, but it got sorted out.

I'm sure if you wait awhile, Mike will be able to help you (pics might help as well)

I see what your problem with the hinge pin being too short is. The extra bit of aluminium on the right hand side (in the pic) shouldn't be there. The arm should be in contact with the e-clip, that bit of aluminium means the hinge pin (presumrably supermaxx ones) which are designed for the stock bulks, are not long enough. There is no problem with having the extra bit of aluminium (it probably adds strength - but FLM should have added the right length hinge pin.

From my past experiences with FLM, they're products are very cheap, nicely made, but SEVERELY lacking in the quality control area. If only they could sort this out, I would be much happier to use them...

I had a similar problem with my bulks. 2 of the hinge pins were not machined enough, and were too big to fit in the bulks. The guy at great assembly was happy to replace them. You could try using the longer hinge pins (for upper arms) - but you'll need to get another set of pins to do this. I'm sure between Mike and FLM it will get sorted out....

Well I really hope it can be sorted soon, as I have a huge RC bash to go to on Saturday & Sunday! Thats why I'm abit impatient with this post. :)

Here is what i think;

They changed the design, my bulkless 1/8th kit from them looks the same. they made it lighter with the milled out parts. They included the old type of hingepin instead of a longer one needed for your bulkheads.

I am sure Mike can help you out.. (you bought them from him, right?)

whew, there is a lot happening here! The bulkheads were updated to the design you have. The new design is better(stronger), but I must have the old picture. The front bulkhead is similar in design the the stock rear, except it has built in kick-up fro the front suspension and skids. The bulkheads do come with the needed hingepins as well. Please make sure you are using the correct ones. I recently built a truck for another customer using those bulkheads and the included hinge pins and had no problems. I would guess the RPM arms may have to be trimmed to fit, but the hingepins should work. Perhaps you mixed up the front and rear hingepins supplied in their respective packages? Please double check this for me. I suppose it is possible that they were packaged with the wrong hinge pins, but I have used a few sets and the included hinge pins without trouble, so please double check.

I havn't opened the other packet of screws and hinge pins. However, it looks like the front ones are longer than the rear.

I think they got them the wrong way round and the longer hinge pins need to be used at the rear.

I will try it tomorrow and reply back (11:30pm abit late). Maybe you can look at others ones you have in stock to see if the front have longer hinge pins than the back? Would confirm it for me then.

Fixed it.

The hinge pins for the rear were in the packet for the front bulkheads and the hinge pins for the front were in the packet for the rear bulkheads.

I've fitted both, but I had to use the stock hinge pins for the front, I used the front hinge pins on the back because the back ones are too small, yet the back ones are also too small for the front.

Took a hammer to it with my bent stockers and I got them in, not great but at least I can use my truck.

hmmm.... I wouldn't really reccomend using a hammer to get them in. You might have a spot of trouble when you need to get them out ( heavy duty pliers reccomended). I managed to bend a titanium pin, and that was quite a mission to get out....
