Is that the stock wing?

BP-Revo 11.15.2007 12:16 AM

Yea, its a stock wing. I'm not sure about the battery...seems to be his 4S impulse one...

Hmmm, it looks bigger then yours

Nice, 4s!!! Rocket!:na:

BP-Revo 11.15.2007 12:31 AM

Yea the FlightPower 3700's are smaller than I thought...much smaller. (my Evo30 4500's are LONG though)...

BlackedOutREVO 11.15.2007 12:43 AM

Yeah

And the wing looks not too bad with that body..... Is anyone using a bigger wing? IMO the stock one is too small really..... IDK, im weird I guess....

BP-Revo 11.15.2007 12:45 AM

The battery is a 3s 4000mah 20C, about the same size as a 6cell NiMh battery, just longer.

I look forward to seeing it in person tomorrow. :mdr:

Uhh, about that Neu... Been a bit short on funds lately, and since I'm selling my MT2, I pulled the MM/CCBEC/9L out of it and put them into the .5.

I'm looking forward to showing the .5 to you in person .

BlackedOutREVO 11.15.2007 09:09 PM

Kind of random

But the crt looks just like your MT2 in the 2nd pic lol.....

What center diff fluid are you running MM?

MetalMan 11.15.2007 09:29 PM

Right now it's 5k in the center. The nitro guys are using 2k and are still wheely-ing, I just went thicker because these motors have more torque than nitro engines .

dabid 11.15.2007 10:50 PM

I wanna see it too! I really haven't paid attention to the CRT .5 conversions so far, but this one really does look great.

MetalMan 11.16.2007 02:13 AM

You'll get your chance (hopefully sooner rather than later). We should do a whole new "SoCal bash" in Saugus/Santa Clarita, with track bashing and rock crawling.

Took the .5 to the track today, along with BP_Revo and his .5 and mwry13 with his Kyosho 7.5. The CRT .5 did very well, except the suspension is still a bit soft. Surprisingly the Step Pins hooked up excellently. I didn't have any problems with the truck, aside from losing body pins... But I fixed that. And nothing broke, although I did manage to lose a flange pipe and lower screw that hold the bottom of the knuckle to the front c-hub.

BP-Revo 11.16.2007 02:31 AM

How much running did you get in after I left? Did the screw hold in very well without the kingpin spacer (flange pipe, whatever).

I'll have to re-solder that plug of mine that popped out. Hardest part should be clearing the bullet connector of all the wire before I put new wire in, but otherwise it'll take longer to heat the soldering iron if anything...

I'll also better mount my battery tray and add another layer of foam padding so I stop messing up my batteries...

MetalMan 11.16.2007 02:34 AM

I dumped the batt that I had, and the screw held without any issues (thanks again for the screw!). Then I went through a WHOLE pack on the Hyper 8 - the buggy tired me out after 20mins of straight driving.

BP-Revo 11.16.2007 02:38 AM

No problem - thanks for the M3 nuts! (and letting me use your castle link)

Yea I didn't actually sit there and run through a full pack at any time. (I actually haven't ever done that with a lipo). Its just too much driving. 40 minutes of runtime with my G2R when it had the MA 8K's and the 6.5...took me like 3 sessions to dump one of those packs...but at least I knew I could run a hell of an enduro race lol...

YGPM btw.
