True, but myself.. for bashing, I like the M/Ts.. just because of the high ground clearance.... I know bashing with Buggies and truggies are nice.. but They usually act like lawnmowers on the grass... :) Grass collection...

BlackedOutREVO 12.08.2007 11:21 PM

Yeah I agree........

But 50 is alot of speed, you gear for 40 and have less heat, more runtime and all... Which to me makes better sense......

BL_RV0 12.09.2007 12:15 AM

well im leanin toward the xt8......

I know that you want brushless, but my next basher is going to be the baja 5b ss kit. I know it is not electric, but I have had great success with my gas powered boats, and the baja is very impressive in person! Take a look at it on hpi's website, it looks badass!

1500 is a fair bit of money, i try to keep between 500 to 800 for my builds, and with some careful shopping you can find some great deals. For heavy bashing, something like a savage or lst2 would probably be best. They do get heavy though.

I have the firehammer and the firehammer M/T... I like the M/T.. same as the FG Marder.... but the Baja 5B is much nicer than the firehammer.... A bunch of guys in London here run the bajas... they go pretty fast with a 30.5 CC Engine... Uber fast...
BL_Revo... for a bash truck, it will be heavy... I think the XT8 is more of a racer... but that is a nice truck for sure... all of my bash trucks are about 15-18Lbs... my Firehammer M/T is 22Lbs...

Since your offering you can finish my home theater. LOL I was thinking this before I read Doc's post. XT8 all the way.

aqwut 12.09.2007 11:59 AM

I do like the direct outrunner setups... less parts to break.. trannys are the worst.. but anyways.. something's gonna break sooner or later...

BL_RV0 12.09.2007 12:28 PM

ummmm..... ill call my lhs and ill ask, "do you guys have any more mgt drive shafts left?"
"NO. You bought them all, and our source is out of them too, thanks to you!"

aqwut 12.09.2007 03:20 PM

LOL, I had that problem with my E-maxx.. so I asked RCAlloys to make me a 10mm CVD shaft.... problem solved...

BL_RV0 12.09.2007 11:36 PM

how much did that cost?

MTBikerTim 12.09.2007 11:52 PM

Yeah I'd recommend the savage too. You want 50mph though so the savage doesn't really meet the requirements. The XT8 sounds pretty good but I wouldn't thing it would be quite as capable when it comes to bashing but being lighter then a savage it could be just as reliable. Just stick to plastic on the outsides to make it bounce as much as possible.

BL_RV0 12.10.2007 10:25 AM

Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnn dooooooooooooooo!

the shafts were $25 a piece.... then I brazed the MIP ends onto the shaft... so it's almost impossible to bend these....

for bashing... stockers are the best.. I would only upgrades things like bulks and shock towers.. just because they're a pain in the *ss to change out....
