nah, that body looks great. good job!

uh-oh - is that a non-hardened steel pinion i see? you might want to try the kyosho plastic spur - that's what i'm going to try once i get my eXT8 back in a week or two. supposedly you just have to drill the holes to 4mm and it'll fit.

nice job!! :great:

yeah i may try that, i have not run this pinion, i got it with my crt.5 i bought, i will have to get a hardened one then

how can you tell the diff. between the two?

ncalenda 01.13.2008 01:46 PM

love the paint job, very nice!!!

the last few hardened pinions i bought from RCM have been the near-black color... but maybe the older hardened ones weren't that dark. it was just a guess.

thanks, i just should have used more yellow and orange, it got to dark in the back, but it will work

i dont know the weight on it around 10 +

this pinion is a light bronze, so it must not be hardened

what size plastic spurs are available??

44,46,48?

and all i need to do is make the screw holes bigger?

ncalenda 01.13.2008 08:08 PM

ya, when I talked with Mike last, he said it is only making hardend steel pinion gears now, the steel ones were steel in color, with no bronze.

I ran mine for the first time, wow, this thing is a dream compared to my e-maxx. I can't believe how nice it does on corners.

entjoles 01.13.2008 08:22 PM

i know, when i drove mine , i got done and 5 min. later i started to take apart my g3r, i knew i would never want to drive it again, and besides i used the electrics out of it:lol:

but it is lighter , easy to work on , and handles much better

one large rc is enough

ncalenda 01.14.2008 01:07 AM

funny, I did the same to my e-maxx!!
