The pictures you found on BKs picture gallery seem to be depicting their new ESC Cool 250/40. The first pic is the boat version with water cooling, and the other ones are showing the car version. Specs as stated 14s lipos and 250A cont (500A burst). Release date seems to be february 2008.
This ESC was tested in 1:5 cars (13,4Kg). Videos can be found here and here. Seems to be a serious competition for those new big schultzes. |
I would definately buy that big controller.... I loved my 40.160WKs... that 40.300 would even be better.. and BK looks nice too ..... can't wait to spend some money later this summer

Hmm. Looking at that new BK controller, I wonder if you could run two motors with it - since it has 3 pairs of power connectors on the output? If not, I think they would have just used one set of 6mm connectors.

Yes, I did see that. I was thinking that two sets of connectors were unnecessary unless there was a specific reason. Like controlling two motors, for example. Of course the two motors would need to be within the maximum specs of the controller.

:surprised: I notice two sets of battery leads as well. You know what would be really cool? If that little box had "bridgeable" controllers in it. Like an audio amplifier. Muahahha.

My Schulze and SPIN200 have 2 red and 2 black wire as well and it is for the same reason to handle more AMPs. If they went to 8GA, the wire is stiff and I think they want the fexible wires.

I think this new 40.300 ESC will cost as much as a Baja 5b SS :gasp:
