I would think so, but the plate is 4mm in width I believe, so you should be able to measure. If not, use my idea. :)

if not i will use your idea, but i only have hand tools and a dremel so it would be ugly at best. I'll measure when i get home unless someone else chimes in before i leave then I'll send Mike some more money.

Mikey likes money! lol. I made my own motor mount, so I made it with small enough holes so it covers the holes in the end of the Neus. Of course any motors that have a flange sticking out won't work in the mount.

I like the front cover for Neu motors. I use them on all of mine. The Neus have a longer shaft than most other motors to begin with so the 4mm you give up with the spacer is not a big deal at all.

No not in a RC-monster revo and not a 1515/1y
But all of the Neu motor shaft lengths are the same and they are more than long enough for any application I have ever seen. |

ok one last question for today. will 3x10 screws be good for mounting? I have a ton of them and will not need a trip to LHS or should I go longer/shorter?

going into the mount? or to mount the plate to the motor?

going form rc-m motor mount to motor until the plate gets here. and then mount to plate after it arrives. the plate comes with counter sunk screws to mount to motor. I just don't want to go too long and have screws touch coils or too short and not be held on tight.

I' not sure how thick the revo mount is but if it shouldnt go into the motor any more than 3mm or so. Once you get the plate on the motor you will have a little more leway because it adds 4mm to the depth of the motor holes.

I guess I'll go to the lhs and pick up some 3x8's just to be safe. I need heli blades anyway.

I put the screw in by hand (just the motor, not on the mount) as far as it thought was safe then measured how far in it had gone. I also measured how far in it needed to go to use all of the thread. Then you know the range of screws you can use. Put the screw through your mount and measure how far out it sticks (how far it's going to go into your motor). Find a screw that's in the safe range for the motor. |
Well, a question was answered. I do need a dust cover for the front too.
