I have run up to 22.2 volts with a 9L through the stock slipper, so it can handle a bit of power. I haven't run the "big power" that you run, though! Of course, I haven't used the stock slipper for a while, since the strobe is worlds above.

Thanks for the input everyone!:)

Don't mention it. You may be able to help one of us out one day. That is what the forum is for. We need to thank mike for the forum. Thanks mike.

Ja, it can't be said to often. Thanks you Mike!

I just came back from holidays, and I run my Revo hard, for 2 weeks almost every day. On tracks and around the house. I run my 7XL on 14 and 16 cells. I still have the stock slipper, no troubles so far. But I'll get a strobe anyway.

However, on the smaller tracks I used a 18/66 gearing (14cells) and on the big track I ran the 20/66 combo. If I ran 16 cells I stayed with the 18/66, too. My temps never exceeded 70 degrees celsius, even after two runs back to back. Amazing!

When my truck was dialed in, I could keep up with 1/8 buggies. Believe it or not. Even passed a properly tuned O.S. buggy on the straight on 14 cells.
On 16 cells its plain insane!

coolhandcountry 08.07.2005 06:22 PM

I ran mine on 18 cells there daf. It was awesome. I had a 22/66. It was fast.

Dafni 08.08.2005 04:39 AM

Coolhand, I think on 18 cells a 22/66 gearing is way too high. To each his own, though. I like to be on the safe side, and 40mph is PLENTY for me.

RC-Monster Mike 08.08.2005 06:26 AM

Yeah, we already had the gearing discussion on another thread. The 22/66 with 18 cells is a bit risky!

coolhandcountry 08.08.2005 07:57 AM

Yeah i know. But it was a blast while it lasted. Had fun. That is the name of the hobby. If you don't have fun why we in it.

Sure, it has been said. Just wanted to point it out.

I have had my share of this type of "fun" myself. Your right-that is the fun of the hobby!

Chase023 08.08.2005 08:29 PM

Actually I have ran on 65Tspur with 24T pinion for a while till delrin pinion went bye bye. (Actually it was the damn set-screw.. Grr)

I ran it full throttle many times around and back and all over for like 5 mins till my pinions went poof!

18 cells on PBM.

Right now I am using 60TSpur 20T pinion on module 1 gears.

coolhandcountry 08.09.2005 05:17 PM

Hey chase was you running the stock diffs?

Chase023 08.09.2005 08:40 PM

Runing UE 8 Spider Diffs F/R.

coolhandcountry 08.09.2005 09:05 PM

With you running them I was geared a little higher than you by running stock diffs. It was a blast though. If only I didn't crash. :lol

nbcaznmaster 08.16.2005 07:20 AM
