Again.... I think everyone should think twice about a pre-order from Castle - A two week wait or having a sites such as this and people like Mike to support us.

Buy with a conscience...

rabosi 04.21.2008 10:47 AM

I looked at the post from CC's Patrick again. He never said April 21st. He said "around April 21st". April 23rd is around april 21st.

kulangflow 04.21.2008 11:03 AM

I called this morning. Castle is taking pre-orders by phone as of this morning.

No surprise, but production has been pushed to the first part of May and shipping will be toward the end of May.

DickyT 04.21.2008 11:04 AM

Just ordered mine. Call them direct :D

titan 04.21.2008 11:19 AM

muhahaha End of May?

What is with the CC Email list - no information until now!

Phone preorder? Not with my english knowledge... :/

Ordering at Mike i support only USMail with 30-40$ This is not funny.

Commercial reality guys but this is a real slap in Mike's and other distributers face :slap:

Where do you think the money comes from to host this site... Was two weeks wait worth it?

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...481#post163481

Re any comments about postage etc - Have you emailed Mike? International postage is no different from Kansas or NY? I'm sure Mike is not interested in making money from postage...

PS

I do have integrity to outright say I have another distributer that has also provided me great service in the past that I have place my order for a MMM with. Again for respect for Mike and RCM I'm not saying where and do not wish to take sales away from Mike.

My sentiment is that disintermediation and direct selling is great but as the consumer don't expect the middle man to survive and don't forget the services (great support and this site) that they provide.

Cloak 04.21.2008 11:26 AM

Ring ring ring if you do call them up, no answer on the sales line, I'd guess they're being slammed right now.

I'm with you Chris. Plus we will get to see how the MMM performs. I will wait a bit before I buy one, as I am never fond of being a test subject...

I will get mine from mike! Gotta support him, he may kick me off this forum if I don't:lol:

You know better than I Rene! I sure am glad that Mike keeps this forum going. I do not think that I could post on nitrokillers, not after my maxamps testing...

DrKnow65 04.21.2008 11:56 AM

Any idea on what Mike will be asking for the MMM/CC-Neu combo?

I'm not working till May 1st so I've got some time to wait on the combo... I'll be getting mine from Mike anyhow so no rushing here.

DickyT 04.21.2008 12:45 PM

Mike will get my money for 1 or 2 after the initial rush is over, I need 1 more for another project and 1 as a spare.

For me Getting in on the CC pre order is worth every day it saves me. I have been with out an off road RC over a month now and am going through withdrawl.

It is a shame that CC is not giving the distributors first dibs, would have been a nice touch.

DRIFT_BUGGY 04.21.2008 03:21 PM

So Mike is definetly getting some? What happens if CC sells all of them?

captain harlock 04.21.2008 04:03 PM

Well, he'll get them sooner or later. The bottomline is that he'll get them. And I don't care if CC will send them to the customers or not, but I know I'll get mine when Mike is ready to get them...and thankfully, I'm in no rush, either.

titan 04.22.2008 11:44 AM

Okay, i asked in a mail.
CC is working of a pre-order function on the website.

That is ok to me :D

Not to mention the price I was quoted when I called was actually $180 - not $170. Anyone else have that experience?

kulangflow 04.22.2008 12:55 PM

I was quoted $180 also.

Arct1k 04.22.2008 01:02 PM

Romster 04.22.2008 07:42 PM

No matter what I will buy from Mike first.. :)

kulangflow 04.22.2008 07:51 PM

I'm buying two. One from Castle and one from Mike. And I'm buying another one from Mike to ship out to SuicideNeil.

Dafni 04.23.2008 05:03 AM

If Mike carries an item in his selection, there is no way I would buy it somewhere else. A two week wait is no excuse for me either. Support the MONSTER!

jnev 04.23.2008 01:23 PM

I'll be buying one from Mike as well. I now just need to wait for my RC10GT to sell on ebay...

captain harlock 04.23.2008 03:29 PM

Many people around here are anouncing some of their rc stuff up for sale. I think they're preparing their wallet for the sake of the newly born monster.

johnrobholmes 04.23.2008 05:57 PM

And the price of the MOnster is really not too bad considering the capabilities that is rumored. I know I will be getting two. One for a large scale and another for my electric motorcycle.

But it won't be able to handle the voltage you will want to use will it. Wouldn't one of the SHV controllers castle was showing off at rcx be better.

UH60sSuck 04.23.2008 07:53 PM

Does anyone know when you can order it. From my understanding was it was the 21st but Im not seeing it on CC website no where.

From what people have said you need to call them. I tried calling but I think I was a bit too late.

UH60sSuck 04.23.2008 08:10 PM

Oh damn that sucks. Its a pain in the ass to call from here. Looks like im going to have to wait to get it from mike. Oh well. All i got is time, lol

It's a pain in the arse to call from here too and when I did I think sales had gone home and I was told I could e-mail them. I have and I will see what they say. I might get up stupidly early tomorrow and give them another call, or stay up stupidly late tonight.

UH60sSuck 04.23.2008 08:25 PM

Lol yeah thats kind of how it is here. 11 hour time differance from home. And on top of that it is a pain in the ass to get on the phone. Thats why I bought my own sattelitte dish for internet. lol

E-Revonut 04.23.2008 08:26 PM

I have my G-Revo chassis, tranny, and a couple other odds and ends for sale on ebay right now. I'm saving up because I want one of the combos when the come out to put in the new E-REVO when that comes out. E-REVO first and I'll play with the titans until I can get the MMM combo!

MMM lives on, I don't care if they just call it the Monster Max, MM will always be the Mamba Max and the Moster Max will always be known as the MMM or Mamba Moster Max to all of us!

UH60sSuck 04.23.2008 08:30 PM

I just pre-ordered two MMM on tower and if mike can get some in before tower does I will cancel the order from tower and get em from him. Yeah as soon as the combo comes out im ordering me one of them too :)

I'd order it from tower too cause they are the only place that has some other parts I need but they want to send the stuff that they have in stock first then the MMM separately which would be OK if they didn't want me to pay postage twice.

UH60sSuck 04.23.2008 08:39 PM

Oh yeah if they do that that sux. Alot of places will do free shipping and handling. Wonder why they dont.

I'd be happy if they just shipped it all at once so I only pay for shipping once. My main reason for wanting to order from Castle is their EMS shipping rates seem very reasonable.

It is a small cycle, so 6s is all I am using right now. The startup is what I am looking forward to, I am wondering if the MMM will bring me to roll from a stop.
