The MM Pro doesn't yet exist and when it will it won't support the Amps for a truggy.

5S could be pushing it on a MM to but many people have had success...

I think you might be better off with the ESC at that back closer to the motor and battery. I came out with a clean setup which I can show later.

What is your issue with the front brace? Did you realise the order of assembly is a little off. You need to postion the front brace BEFORE putting in either the centre diff assembly or the front top plate...

It should in theory support the amps. Pdelcast said they would be about 90% of the MM, so ~90 amps. The motor I'm using only pulls a max of 78 amps, so I should be fine. Not sure about the 5s MM thing- I can get a burnt MM off of my friend for hardly anything and get it repaired by Castle, but still it's a waste of $50, and how hard is it to disable the LVC? And about the front brace- I did remove the aluminum plate and the center differential. It sticks out about 1/4 inch too much and the brace is too wide to fit in the slot in the top plate.

Arct1k 06.27.2008 10:33 AM

You have something very weird there...

BL_RV0 06.27.2008 10:33 AM

Yeah.

BL_RV0 06.27.2008 10:34 AM

On another note- can I see some pictures of your setup?

brushlessboy16 06.27.2008 11:44 AM

BL_RV0 06.27.2008 07:10 PM

Hey guys, update. Bought Takedown's Hacker C50 Maxx motor for this project as well as ordered Mike's mount! Gotta get a servo too, today's been pretty expensive.

Takedown 06.27.2008 07:11 PM

Hope you enjoy the Hacker! I plan on watching this project till the very end.

BL_RV0 06.27.2008 07:13 PM

Yep. Hopefully you won't just have to see pictures only... (That's a hint that hopefully a vid is coming soon.) :yipi:

Takedown 06.27.2008 07:15 PM

Hope so! I look forward to seeing the Hacker in their. We need a great vid to top it off at the end.

mxracer 06.27.2008 07:21 PM

BL_RV0 06.27.2008 07:24 PM

According to my caclulations, I will need about $220 to complete the project. :yipi:

Finnster 06.27.2008 08:19 PM

BL_RV0 06.27.2008 09:31 PM

BL_RV0 06.28.2008 11:01 AM

Nice! Well I found a sweet deal on a used MM, so I'll disable the LVC and use the CC BEC until the 2nd batch MMM comes out. Also got the bore reducer from Mike, and I'm going to order the CC BEC and pinion from tower today. Because of the KV of the motor, I'm getting a 9t or 10t pinion. 9t for 39mph, and 10t for 43mph. Which do you think?

BL_RV0 06.28.2008 11:53 AM

Ordered: 10t pinion, CC BEC. Still need: new balancer, and battery, thats about $110

Takedown 06.29.2008 10:04 AM

Ok I got the money via paypal and the Cap Board will be sent out monday morning.

BL_RV0 06.29.2008 12:12 PM

:yipi:

BL_RV0 06.30.2008 12:10 AM

Update. Ordered the last of my stuff!! :yipi: It should all be here between tomorrow and saturday this week or monday, (hopefully not.)

Takedown 06.30.2008 08:00 AM

So im guessing you ordered the Protek 5s?

Arct1k 06.30.2008 08:37 AM

I hope not at 3600KV that would be 66000 RPM on 5S

No. 3000kv.

Arct1k 06.30.2008 11:03 AM

Check Just googling but:

C50-MAXX 12 12 Cells 3600Kv 15/72 pinion/spur set

C50-MAXX 14 14 Cells 3300Kv 15/72 pinion/spur set

C50-MAXX 16 16 Cells 2600Kv 15/72 pinion/spur set

Only the 2600kv might take 5s but that is still almost 50k...

You might want to consider this...

BL_RV0 06.30.2008 11:05 AM

I'm going to get that as soon as my 3.2mm shaft breaks.

BL_RV0 06.30.2008 11:38 AM

Here's a more recent pic taken with my phone because my camera suddenly stopped working.

Arct1k 06.30.2008 05:39 PM

Looking good - Hope the MM can take 5S for you... There is one thing for sure it will move! Might eat a few pinions - were you able to confirm the motors KV.

Hopefully you can get an RCM hardened 10T pinion that will give you the reight gearing...

BL_RV0 06.30.2008 05:52 PM

Hells yeah!

Takedown 06.30.2008 06:32 PM

Hmmm... I wonder who's C50 that is. I really hope you enjoy it!

BL_RV0 06.30.2008 07:23 PM

You bet!

BL_RV0 07.02.2008 05:01 PM

WOOT! Still waiting on ESC/RX which will be here tomorrow. Also got some Axial battery straps (not pictured.)

Nice! I bet the mail man was probably pretty mad he had to get out of his truck to put the 10 seperate boxes of stuff on your doorstep. Atleast thats how my mailmain is...

BL_RV0 07.02.2008 05:09 PM

Actually, my mom built a box out of bricks behind the mailbox that he puts the boxes in...

Arct1k 07.02.2008 05:12 PM

What servo are you going to use? 645?

I don't see a balancer adpater - did you get one of these? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/18244

How are you going to wire in the cap's? be careful if intending to solder onto MM - They use lead free solder and the board is a good heatsink.

Yup. 645. I did get one, it's just hard to see in the pics. I'm going to hardwire the caps onto the MM and have the battery plug into them.

Arct1k 07.02.2008 05:23 PM

I would do some reading up on soldering directly to the MM lest you toast your controller...

PS before you open the 645 it might be worth looking on ebay I picked up a 5955 for 80...

Given that ST is famous for it's steering ability a 645 is a bit slow (.2) / LT (133) IMO - even the new 7955 can be had for 92

Takedown 07.02.2008 05:26 PM

I personally to be safe would just make an adapter.
