Thx, I will check it out.

E-Revolution 07.19.2008 01:55 PM

Looks like that I take HongNor X1CRT Pro to my project ( same as Ofna Jammin truck ) .

But, now I am thinking about the batteries. Is those hobby-city's Zippy packs really safe choose to this project ? I really hope that those batteries won't get damaged and get smoked if I choose them.

But the problem is that those Zippy packs are over if I need 5000mAh packs... And I don't know what is good voltage for 1700-2200rpm .

both Zippys and True Rc packs are good bang for the buck, I would go with 5s

E-Revolution 07.19.2008 02:54 PM

Ok. Only 15C continous ? Price and weight is good.

dont pay that much attention to True RCs rating I have a 10c 4s 5000 pack in a rustler which I am happy with it is comparable performance wise to a Maxamps 20c pack and it doesnt puff for half the price...my fav pack is the Flightpower EVO25 series

E-Revolution 07.19.2008 03:50 PM

Okay. I allmost forgot Flightpower EVO25 packs, they are maybe the best batteries.

tc3_racer_001 07.19.2008 06:03 PM

did you decide on a motor yet?

just to let you know: i placed an order with castle on the 30th of APRIL for a 1512 2D motor. paid the money via credit card and got a reciept. to this day i have not heard anything, ive sent many emails and the responses i got were along the lines of "we will check where you order is up to" etc... im not impressed. however i am impressed that i sent a package to them and its now on its way back (they only had it for 7 days) which should arrive soon...

so that 2-4 weeks is BS. i even paid for express shipping, but it hasnt even SHIPPED!! im pretty pissed of because i cant run until i get it...

better get some damn good apology, and they should change their 2-4 weeks to 2-4 MONTHS.

E-Revolution 07.19.2008 07:49 PM

I didn't decide my motor yet. Looks like you have kind of big problems with that motor shipping :S .. Hope that you will get your motor.

any pack that has Enerland cells( Flightpower, Polyquest, Neu) will rock

i will... its just a question of WHEN... GRR

E-Revolution 07.21.2008 03:45 PM

Hello.

Is that a good battery for Truggy http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...eu3s5000car25c ? I am thinking about 2 x 3S LiPo batteries in series , so two battery packs can be wired to 6S .

The motor can be cheap, but the main thing is that the Kv is low, so what are you guys thinking about 1100 - 1900KV motor and 6S ( 22.2V ) ?

Low Kv motor can be cooler than high Kv motor, so the bigger batteries and lower Kv motor would be good setup together.

I am trying to make same speed like an normal truggy with nitro engine.

low kv + high voltage = lower temps...the pack that you had a link to would be a very good pack to go with, I have a 6s pack with a Neu 1515/2.5d in a Revo and I am very happy with results ...I get 30 min run times

E-Revolution 07.21.2008 04:20 PM

I was thinking the same with you about the temps. Thats very good to know :D .

2 x those Neu 11.1v packs in series and I will get cheap 6S LiPos  .

Must find some low kv motors. I founded few in hobbycity, they are very cheap motors so they would be good for testing :D .

Btw. I bought 2,4Ghz Futaba 3PM FASST radios yesterday, and HongNor X1CRT Pro is in the process, now I am just waiting for them.

I don't know about the charger, motor and ESC yet. Can't wait when MMM come into stock again :P .

what is your budget for a motor?...remember you buy cheap you get cheap and will be buying a new motor soon......:rules:

tc3_racer_001 07.22.2008 06:47 AM

hey just letting you know that ive gotten the email for amy at neu. it has been built ages ago but somehow been forgotten???? anyway, its being posted tomorrow. knowing this i may order again from them and keep pestering them with emails. then i would get it on time.

E-Revolution 07.22.2008 09:56 AM

I have been send e-mail to Neu and Monster Mike, both of them have not been reply to me.

There are no budjet to motor, but I am just thinking that it is kinda impossible to get Neu because Mike and Neu doesn't reply back.

bl-is-future 07.22.2008 09:58 AM

choose your motor. Click build it. Then wait 2 weeks for it to arrive.
http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...motors/nm.html

E-Revolution 07.22.2008 10:06 AM

I dont know what motor I should order if I am thinking to get smart speed with truggy, trying to get same speed like an original nitro truggy. 40-55Mph would be good speed I think, handling should be good enough.

1500Kv motor and 6S LiPos ( ~33,300rpm ) ? 2200Kv motor and 6S Lipos would be good setup too (~ 48,500rpm ) , but I dont know about the car handling in high speed.

I am thinking something like that.

bl-is-future 07.22.2008 10:07 AM

yet another great tool
http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_motor_selector.html

E-Revolution 07.22.2008 10:39 AM

So 1500 or 2200Kv motor would be good, and I can offcourse make different gearings etc. if there are problems with speed or temps.

What would be you choise ? 40-55Mph sounds good speed if we think about the good handling and driving.

So Neu 1515 1.5Y or 1Y would be good, which would be good choise to my setup ?

I think the 1Y is overkill with 6S batteries :P

bl-is-future 07.22.2008 11:09 AM

1.5 on 6s

E-Revolution 07.24.2008 02:33 PM

So Neu would be good ? Enough Ampers ? I think that neu 3S batteries are good. 125A constant.

bl-is-future 07.24.2008 02:39 PM

Yes Neu Is Fine

E-Revolution 07.24.2008 03:01 PM

Only problem is that there is only 1 3S Neu pack in rc-monster shop. Some other good 3S packs ?

Btw. I got today my Futaba 3PM FASST 2.4Ghz radios, good quality and price.

that is a post that was put up a while back when you asked the same question about good batteries.
you should really read the post people put up. You have asked the same questions over and over and people are nice and answer every time.

E-Revolution 07.24.2008 03:38 PM

Yeah, just thinking about that what would be good, because there are so many changes. 5000mAh, 6000mAh, 8000mAh etc. sry about that.

bl-is-future 07.24.2008 03:45 PM

what ever you can fit in the car. the more mah the better run time but also size is bigger.

azjc 07.25.2008 02:37 AM

IMO people who run high MAH packs are trying to make up for a lack of voltage or C rating

I dont think that is all true. I run 5000mah packs myself because they last a good amount of time for running but are not overly sized for the vehicles. Also the FP's are 25c so i do not see myself have a problem even with 2500mah but than my run time will be cut in half. I do it purely for more run time.

I run the same packs as you do
I dont consider 5000 to be a high capacity pack or the EVO25 to be a low C rating...if you go to a 8000mah pack or run a Maxamps 20c or a 15c pack or below.......

i see what you are saying now. That is why i just stay with FP and call it good then i know i will not have a problem  Maxamps, well i will not go there.

E-Revolution 08.01.2008 01:31 PM

Now I am buying needed parts to this project. I talked with my good friend about those Zippy packs. I Will buy 2 x 3S 5K Zippy packs, and when I get them, we will test those packs with e-sky. If those packs are good enough, I will keep them, if they are not, I will sell them for someone who need good and cheap LiPo pack to smaller car like stampede. Then I will buy FlightPower or maxamps LiPo's if I dont find something better.

The charger that I am buying, is GT-A8 - G.T.Power A8 8Cell balancer/Charger . I will buy MMM V2 when they are in stock, I don't know about the motor yet. Seems like I will buy KB45-08XL 1700Kv motor to testing, so I can find easily good gearings with it. If its not good motor, I will think about the Neu 1515 motors.

I will send some pictures when I get those parts :P

- E-Revolution.

bl-is-future 08.01.2008 01:53 PM

dont buy maxamps.

E-Revolution 08.01.2008 01:56 PM

Why not maxamps ? Reason ? Interesting :S .

bl-is-future 08.01.2008 01:59 PM

overrated and not worth the money. If you read in this forum you will find i am not alone in this opinion

you can get packs just as powerful for half the price and they wont puff

E-Revolution 08.01.2008 04:03 PM

FlightPower packs, or what is your opinion ? I need alot of power, because brushless truck is heavy car. 2 x 3S packs would are better choise than 1 x 6S, because they are easy to handle and sell. I don't find any LiPo packs wich are better and half of maxamps price...

tc3_racer_001 08.01.2008 09:19 PM

from reports the zippy ones are much better (and less than 1/2 the price) than maxamps... personally im going to try them as i cannot afford a $250 lipo... esp cause im just bashing around.

bl-is-future 08.01.2008 10:07 PM

i have heard good things about zippy. another cheaper cell is true rc.

E-Revolution 08.02.2008 06:15 AM

They are giving 100A constant, other batteries like FlightPower is giving 125A and Maxamps 160A constant. I don't know is that 100A enough for truggy..
