I don't have any problems (knock on wood) yet on my V1 on 1515 1Y on 6S. However, I will be exchanging it for the V2 once the backlog is over.

George, Are you infact in that situation? If your running that setup in a truck or truggy and geared to race and not too the moon or in an above average climate, probably not. I've been one of the fortunate ones with a v1 monster. Hooked up my fan to my rx almost from day one. I've run overgeared just to see what could happen. this esc is pretty darn tough IMO:mdr:

I'm using s trobe slipper with 51T spur and 20T pinion. My diffs are 1/8 scale 8 spyders with 3.3:1 ratio.

Can't tell if I'm going to thermal it but the possibility is always there.

BrianG (i think it was) modded his body on his V1 MMM like this

Yup, that's mine all right. Since then, I added the UBEC mod:

And a different switch. My switch turned itself off the other day after a jump. I thought the day had finally came as nothing was happening only to realise that the switch turned off

Adding a different switch is easy enough. I like the sealed ones, something like this:

This is funny. And no, I will not buy you a plane ticket to come over to the US...

At least yoou have a good sense of humor. Seeing where you reside at the moment, a good bomb joke must be hard to come by...

Yeah, maybe if it was the V2 and all faults were fine I would change the switch but doing that will probably void the warranty. Still don't want to take to many chances with the V1 im still running

To everyone asking why castle aren't releasing specific current draw ratings: read this post.

i asked CC about extending the wires on the switch to get it to a more meaningful location. i didn't want to void warranty either. this is what the man wrote:

"As long as you don't solder on the controller itself you're set. You'd
have to splice the wire into the existing wires.

That's exactly what I did to have my switch inside the RX box :intello:.

The switch is between the two screws in front of the gray rx box.
