Thanks for pointing out the 1/4 scale ---------- I'll get on that --- do you know anyone that will run 1/4 scale?

The bikes are set.
If you have the desire to run more than 2s------ Electric open is the class to run.

The Electric Open seems to be related to cars. A Electric Bike Open would be a nice choice as well, just incase some crazy guy shows up with some insane monster bike.

ziggy12345 08.03.2008 02:36 AM

Hi

We can look at the bike class but the restriction is to ensure a level playing field for this class. If you want to run a bike with 3 x .28 engines or a Neu 2215 motor running 12 lipo cells then you can enter the open classes. With only 2 wheels you might have an advantage over the cars

Nic Case 08.12.2008 12:41 PM

That's right, bikes are now "Open" (no restrictions). So whatever you think you can put down to the ground! lol

BTW
I'd like to welcome Associated as a new sponsor!

Looks good Nic. I made a couple of speed runs with my 2S set up and I was able to reach 65mph. I'll be trying some different things to make it faster. I'm also waiting for a few new ESCs that should be awesome for sped runs.

Nic Case 08.31.2008 11:38 AM

Hey Guys
***We are going to a limit the number of entries, to 80***

Since the WFRCCC events yielded so few attendants we did not put a limit on the amount of entries.
But there seems to be a lot of interest – and after doing the math --- the 2008 International Speed Challenge, Might even, turn into a 2 day event.

So
Get your pre-entries in & plan to be flexible.
This is event is gaining more & more momentum. It now has the attention of Speed TV!

Speed is Cool

Will this event be free to attend? I'm only interested in watching, since I don't have enough $$ to put something together. ;)

Nic,

We both share a passion for speed. I love that movie. Before I came to the US, I used to race kart in Brasil. I was competing against 200cc+, but I only had a 125cc engine. My grandfather came to the US and got a small turbo so I could be competitive with the other guys. Well 120mph was the fastest my kart went, but being so low to the ground, it felt more like 200mph. Keep the records coming, I enjoy watching your cars do the unbelievable. One day I hope to meet you face to face, it would be a great honor.

Regards,

Luciano.

Anything we can do to help that along? I'd love to watch it.

Wow Nick. Cangratulations! Thats just amazing!

I was just looking at the pictures of that car. Thats a work of art. What kind of tires were those that withstood the 160+ mph run? They look like roller skate material or something.

rabosi 10.06.2008 12:06 PM

Congratulations Nic. Really incredible when put in perspective.

What's_nitro? 10.06.2008 07:46 PM

Nic, great job! 161 mph is insane! I think your car also wins best sounding vehicle.

crazyjr 10.08.2008 08:24 AM

Congrats Nic, I was surprised you didn't bump up the speed last year. You made up for it this year though, congrats. Is there plans for next year? If on the east coast again, I'll try to bring something

The wheels were custom machined with special rubber vulcanised onto the rims

I prefer PC's car....
