BlackedOutREVO 10.05.2008 11:52 AM

Yeah, that was me saying that

I should get a pic for you guys. With a 14mm longer then the RCM chassis, bodys fit perfect, there is a crazy amount of room on the chassis.

And just wait, me and ROOST are coming up with a very sweet mod

mambarustler 10.05.2008 12:40 PM

Cool I can't wait LMK what it is before i buy anything else:wink:

BlackedOutREVO 10.05.2008 12:46 PM

We can show everyone when were done

Haha for now, its still in the works

GO-RIDE.com 10.05.2008 06:15 PM

I really like the 40mm+ length I have now, but if the new one will run 10th scale packs and have room for the esc on the chassis I'll upgrade the one I have.

BlackedOutREVO 10.05.2008 06:18 PM

I can fit pretty much any pack, and it doesnt hang off the chassis. With room to spare

And there is a TON of room for a ESC behind the motor, or on the batt side!

mambarustler 10.08.2008 06:27 PM

Tekno/Impakt is killing me they take so long to get the v3 battry tray's in stock

mambarustler 10.09.2008 07:52 PM

More good news I just sold the old nitro junk for $70

mambarustler 10.21.2008 06:27 PM

Snipin_Willy 10.21.2008 08:06 PM

I e-mailed him asking him about another thing and also asked about the chassis he had getting annod'd. He mentioned he should have them by the end of the week.

mambarustler 10.21.2008 08:54 PM

Cool, thanks for the good news I cant wait. I might have my chassis and medusa motor in a week or so :yipi:

Snipin_Willy 10.21.2008 10:55 PM

mambarustler 10.22.2008 12:36 PM

Well guys heres the latest, I got tired of watchin the crt.5 in pieces so I build what i could from what i already had bought for it and what i had around. All I need to buy for it now is motor mount and a medusa 3300kv motor to get it running. Later on when i have more cash i will buy radio gear and extended chassis for it and other small little things and ill have it ready. Well enough of me talking here are some pics

I think you removed the rear chassis brace to fit your electronics, right ?
I don't think thats a good idea.
This leaves the rear (where the chassis is most fragile) unsupported.
Don't know what other people think about this, but I wouldn't do it.

Nice truck btw.

Is that a 3 cell 4300mah you are using ? Where did you get it ?
Are those Asso 12th scale servo mounts ?

Yes I removed the rear brace, I know its not a good Idea but lets see how it works out. (I will be installing the brace back on once I get an RCM chassis for it)
Yes thats a 3s 4300mah Zippy-K I got it at Hobbycity but they no longer sell them.
Am not shure if the servo mount is 12th scale but i did have to make the holes for the screws larger. Heres a link http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGHA2&P=7

Hey guys my birthday is in a couple weeks and my mom said she was gonna buy me the rcm chassis and motor, but i was thinking since the chassis is so nice i would want to scratch the bottom up, i seen some rc's with some sort of lexan on the bottom to protect where can i buy this anybody have a link? and how would i go as for mounting it to the bottom of the chassis.

magman 02.19.2009 01:17 PM

If you lined up the new chassis w/the lexan and drill through it that way the screws will go through both the lexan and the original chassis and it will be quite strong

if you dont want to scratch the bottom your in the wrong hobby:rules:

just spray it with wd-40 and put it on the shelf and it will be perfect forever:mdr:

Haha i didn't mean scratch but i seen nitro chassis get pretty bad. I just want i just want to have my chassis in good all around condition, and rocks and the street dont help with that.

Got a link of a piece of lexan, or some sort of plastic that would be good?

mambarustler 03.10.2009 06:12 PM

Ordered Tekno V3 battery mount and Blue Straps. Have $160 left selling some misc parts on rc-tech to raise some more. Waiting on mike to finish with the medusa clamp heatsink cover, to make my order of the RCM chassis kit, medusa 3300kv, and the Heatsink Clamp Cover.
