Ebay is always your friend- I've contemplated one of the Hitec 5955tgs myself, but Im too tight and lazy, so I'll just live with my old faithful pair of 645mgs for steering duty. :smile:

-took out radio box and reciever is in batt box -drill bottom of MMM and chassis to route wires underneath -painted: motor mount and plate, bulkhead retainers, and springs -deanodized hex hubs -rerouted servo wires into batt vents -only visible wires are motor wires and batt wires -switched motor to low cog position plan to get -rit dye shock socks 5955tg hd servo spring aluminum servo arm wheelie bar aluminem wheelie wheels tekno sway bar kit pics will be up 2mrw |

Looks very nice- I like the RX mounting spot, makes for a clean layout. Only thing I'd be concerned about would be a bad front end collision. Could damage lipo, RX or both...

some updates. i have died the rockers and chassis black. it looks sick! :yes:
i also have a bit of a story to tell. i attempted (make special note of ATTEMPTED) to dye the transmitter case. i died the back half of my traxxas 2.4ghz radio case and it turned out good. so i put the front half into the dye and i begin to assemble my e-revo. :whistle:so i come back in half an hour to check on it and alot of the water evaporated out of the pot leaving some of the case sticking out of the water and the part of the case that was not submerged ended up melting and was badly distorted :no: i learned my lesson. dont dye without checking on it. haha. i had to learn it the hard way i also reciever my zippy 3s 5000mah 30C lipos along with my charger and power supply:mdr: now i just have to solder the connectors and some of you may know that my MMM was sent in for a reciever lead replacement. so im also waiting for that. pictures will be up soon if anybofy has a traxxas transmitter case that they are willing to sell or give. On the tx casing issue (:oops:), I could be wrong but the stock AM txs look identical pretty much, so it might be possible to pick up a cheapy one from ebay and swap out the melted half, unless ofcourse you've already replaced it. |

I was looking at that 1st tx picture, thinking that looks alright... then.... :lol: oops. I would wager that an am radio case would be compatible, though if it isnt it wont be much $ wasted- must be a million of those on ebay at the moment I would have thought?

yah. i was hoping that the AM radio cases work. otherwise im in some deep doo-doo. theyre about $15 on fleabay. so i hope they work:yipi:ill order them up soon. this time ill buy a big cheap pot for dying purposes only. rather than using disposable baking trays in a grill that leaked water :lol:bad mistake and lesson learned

So it now looks like Mikey is a douche. I sent him a 2ch radio , since he melted his. I was going to mail it and give it for free. However he wanted priority shipping , so I said fine, just pay for shipping. I went ahead and sent it to him priority, and he said he had already mailed the money to me. A month goes by, with no money, so I send a pm. He said it got returned to him and he would send it back out. Now almost 2mos later , still no money .
It's all about the principle, and those who don't have them. |
Hmm, funny you say that. He mailed me $20 for a Stock AM radio/rx. I sent it Priority. It got returned to me. So I paid for Priority shipping again to send it. He said that he didn't receive it and wanted his money back. However I didn't get a package back. I guess I should have spent the $.70 to see if it was delivered... I didn't refund the money never the less. So I don't know if he's trying to skimp me or the radio is lost in USPS land...

You know, I would think if you were going to act like a douche, you would do it over something better then a stock radio, or some shipping charges. But for me, a big old Thank you, after it was received would have went along ways.
