I am getting there... I have to remove another MMM from my lst to test it. That truck runs 6s, so I figured it would be the best test of the esc. Plus I can plug the wires directly in, as it has the same bullet setup. I took the photos as soon as I got it.

JaySki 10.20.2008 07:30 PM

I have mine installed. All the same as Linc posted.
Raining outside and I need to remove the UBEC and let the V3 run it all and pray.
Also got a notification my number 2 V2 is on it's way.
Only thing I am concerned about at this point.. On my invoice, it was noted that they have one other repair that will ship(Did today). CC actually owes me 2 more on top of the two that have shipped.

Interesting note, The invoice stated "Repair Action: Replaced U1 has a phase shorted/not yet tested.

It's a mostly V3 version.... The female bullets are still present vs havni ghte battery wires soldered, it is the original case.
After seeing Patrick's post abut the new cases coming in today and mailng them out, I think that is what is being sent and not another MMM.

Big indoor place.. I wish.

I sincerely hope this goes well. If not.. I think I'll be wanting some money back and getting an MGM or something over the winter...

I am too. I will mod the case and protect the fan wires. I will wait to send the other escs back until after the new cases come in and i get a look at some pics. The case mods are easy, so I do not mind doing that!

bradleyk123 10.21.2008 12:58 AM

but buy doing mods you want get true results. But I guess if I were you all I would want is for it to work

I am not really doing anything but protecting the small gauge wires, and they are easy to damage. I mod everything I can get my hands on, I can always see some sort of flaw or design that I have issues with. The bottom of the case hitting the fan plug should be cured with the new cases, so the addition of some shrink tubing on the small wires is mainly a personal preference.

You should have seen me build a set of axial crawler axles. My buddy was watching me and was blown away by my attention to detail. I showed him how to shim a diff and axle outdrives and we was very suprised by how smooth everything was. It only added about 15mins to the job, and he could definately see that what I was doing was going to help those axles last as long as possible. I though it was very poor that axial did not include shims, luckily I have thousands...

RBMike 10.21.2008 02:41 PM

I just got a shipping notice. Patrick, Am I getting a V2.5 like you sent E-Mike or is it in the new case you got yesterday??? I ask because you mentioned that V3 would be started later this week.

emaxxnitro 10.21.2008 05:00 PM

wah-hoooo! A package was shipped to you on 10/21/2008 via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail
to the following address:

KERRVILLE TX 78028-3867

yes its on the way!

JaySki 10.21.2008 05:33 PM

So.. the V2.5.. I am happy. Ran it through a set of 4S today. Got cut a little short due to a tree that wouldn't move. Busted the whole rear bumber/spoiler assy off.. broke a Shock end.. Kinda funny.. I think we'll have the ESC pretty solid now.. and watch the carnage begin....
The joys of running 50mph!

That would be a V3 -- they had built more than they were able to finish on Friday, so now they are shipping replacements with the V3 case.

Farout man, thanks for the reply & thanks for getting those new cases right out on the line right away. Looking foward to a worry free MMM. (The other 2I have have are working but I worry the whole time I run them that it will be the last.)

DRIFT_BUGGY 10.22.2008 05:58 AM

Sweet, that is great news. Ill keep my V1 for now and see how it goes with the new firmware.

Patrick; what do I have to do to get a new v3 case and any chance of a fan since half my blades are missing off the current fan. Be abit hard to call since I live overseas

The brain board is blue. This is so we can tell if the controller is a V2 or a V3 at a glance.

There will be some V3 controllers with 6.5mm plugs on the battery side.

We got the new cases in TODAY, so they are mailing out cases to people who got the 25 "early" MMM V3 controllers.

The controllers all shipped with V3 firmware. The V3 firmware just isn't available on the web yet, because we have to make sure it still works OK with all of the other controllers, not just the MMM.

Thanx!

Patrick

Hi from germany !

Dear Patrick,
I sent you an unused V2 MMM - can you confirm that I will receive a V3 with the new case ?

Best regards,

Tobias

Arct1k 10.22.2008 09:36 AM

Yes.

JaySki 10.22.2008 02:09 PM

I tell you...
I really do have to give it to CC in the Customer Service arena.
I got a call from Morgan this afternoon wanting to try and clear up how many MMM's were there that belonged to me.
I mentioned here that on the invoice I received with my V3 that CC has 1 still due to me and that is would be shipped soon. I had stated that I have 3 still at CC for repairs/replacement.
They must have looked at my username here and put it to the list of repairs and figured out who I was... ?
Regardless... I am impressed more than I had been. They definitely have something going that most US businesses lost long ago. :intello:

Arct1k 10.22.2008 02:11 PM

great - They gave me a call Monday to confirm exactly what I had with them and what they were going to return - I think they are making sure they are all ready to go when the v3's are all available...

Sneaky Pete 10.23.2008 05:50 PM

I got my shipping notice a bit earlier today! One down and one to go which is supposed to be here by no later than the end of next week.

macr0w 10.23.2008 07:21 PM

I got one of mine in the mail today. :mdr:

FastXR 10.23.2008 07:36 PM

No shipping notice yet, hopefully soon :(

hemiblas 10.23.2008 07:40 PM

Once I get my MMM my MM is going to go back in the Rusty and it will be a good day. Its been a great 6 packs with my MM and 7XL but I'm just looking forward to having a nice clean install again.
Tomorrow though I'm going to go smoke a nitro in my work parking lot. He's bringing 30% nitro and a .28 in a t-maxx thats all maxed out. It will be awesome to show him the tiny little MM that beat him. I'm already geared at 41mph and I think thats enough given the short straightaways we will be driving on. With the punch control at 0 I will be smokin tires all the way to the finish line.

hoovhartid 10.23.2008 08:21 PM

Hey?

lincpimp 10.23.2008 11:19 PM

I received an upgraded case in the mail from CC yesterday. I will pull the v3 apart and get some comparison pics. I can see the difference in the lower case and the fan area. Looks like that will take care of the contact issues. I will still be adding some small wire protection.

So, are these V3's coming with battery side bullets or soldered wires?

Arct1k 10.23.2008 11:29 PM

Both of mine have bullets on both sides but later ones will not... So there are V3s and V3.1s :)

macr0w 10.24.2008 07:15 AM

The one I got has bullets all the way around.

I was hoping it would be direct solder at least on the battery side.

cwallis 10.24.2008 09:59 AM

I got a V3 that should come in today. I also have a V2 still running, how are you guys getting the V3 cases? Are you calling or can you just email them?
