brushlessboy16 11.29.2008 10:04 PM

They do look oddly similar. i still think 4s 6200mah would be the ticket :D

Takedown 11.29.2008 11:19 PM

Ya the 4000mah 6s appealed to me to.

THey are nice but too much weight and not enough MAh

Takedown 11.30.2008 12:24 PM

If you run them in parallel it makes 8000mah 30c continious. Even though it will weigh more I'd still buy it because I would not be professionaly racing and 2nd of all because their cheap.

Very true. you dont think 6s on a 1y is too much for the track?:lol:

Takedown 11.30.2008 04:20 PM

For that price you can always limit the MMM throttle and start up power.:yipi:

Wont that raise temps? pretty sure the esc's are most efficient at WOT

BL_RV0 11.30.2008 04:53 PM

Yes, but very marginally. Ryan, c rating is not doubled when packs are paralleled. C rating stays the same, but 4000mah at 10c is half the amps as 8000mah at 10c. Plus, the packs are 10c not 15c, it says in the description. 15c is the burst rating.

brushlessboy16 11.30.2008 05:02 PM

Im still liking the zippies

BL_RV0 11.30.2008 05:03 PM

Not saying i don't.

BL_RV0 11.30.2008 05:19 PM

You vaguely implied it.

Takedown 11.30.2008 07:36 PM

Damn, that would be awsome. I guess the head of your track is afraid of 6s carnage.

dirt101 11.30.2008 07:51 PM

6s is pretty much useless at my track to but thats exactly the reason I ordered a 6s. haha, mo power is always better.

5s is plenty for me

Takedown 11.30.2008 07:58 PM

Lol, can you imagine spikes on your rims?

brushlessboy16 12.02.2008 10:12 AM

haha. Ill just cut everyone elses tires on the track . Looking to run 4s 5000-6000mah.. The 2 zippie packs are still cheaper then any other. And my charger can only charge at 50 watts.... so 4 of the zippy 4s 3600mah packs are cheap. Im on my phone so i cant just open a new tab and check..

brushlessboy16 12.02.2008 01:28 PM

How many Mah should I shoot for to run a 15 Minute Main?

4x4s 2500mah each pack is only $36 and i could get 4 of them.
100a continuous and 150a burst

The 2500mah packs are 123grams less-per pack then the 3600's.so total weight would be:
2x 4s 2500mah- 592g
2x 4s 3600mah- 838g
5s 4000mah- 627g

nope not always. i race my b4 and i toned it all the way down to brushed and now my lap times are way way faster than when i had a mm and 5700kv motor.

oh yeah I guess I should have mentioned that I NEVER race. I just play at the track.

brushlessboy16 12.02.2008 06:02 PM

 I just ran the truck softly. was at 13 minutes with 3.7v left in the cells :)

If you think you can make the 15 min main on the 4000mah 5s I would go with that or maybe take a look at their 5000mah. I would stick with 1 larger battery becuase It simplifies things alot. With one battery you only have one to take on and off the charger, one to balance, and only one to mount to the truck. Trust me I have been doing the dual pack thing for a while now and im switching to a 6s ASAP. Im even more biased toward one large pack now that I use a 0610(your using the 0606 right?) and can only charge one pack at a time.

Im using the Imax B5.
I doubt that the 4k pack will make a 15 minute main.. just no way:no:
1 battery does simplify it but saddle packs would lead to better handling.
Im being told that 4s would be best for the 1y, i run 5s now but am unsure

I doubt you could feel the difference. I used to run my truck like this(3s on the velcro) and couldnt feel the difference at all.
